Question about Kenmore Washing Machines

1 Answer

My Kenmore washer is not draining, I have done all the primary checking to see if that would fix this problem. It has not. Took off pump, I noticed that the fly wheel on the pump does not rotate freely. It starts to rotate then gets a little snug and stops.

If there is enough power coming to the pump durring the drain cycle then it is possible that the pump is faulty. It must start off in with a good RPM to ensure a good pumping .
If after the cleaning the pump is not running by itselt , you will need to replace the pump.
Use a good air cleaning, use good lubrication , degreasing with WD40.

It is a common fault that the drain fails to work in most machines in a period of time and is the most problematic fault in a washing machine. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. As you have noticed that the drain pump is clogged this could have produced the noise. Now remove the drain pump, clean the drain pump, use back flushing to clear off all dirt. Now test using power to see if this works and can be simulated. If the pump does not work even with power then it must be replaced.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F02 is a drain error in your Kenmore washer, if the unit is unable to drain then after 4 minutes it will display suds and then F02. The first thing that should be done is cleaning the drain hose and the drain pump filter, you can take out three torx screws from the bottom front panel and then clean the area completely, lift up the cap to clean the filter. If the error returns then check the drain pump if it is not working then replacing the pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Water standing still in tub after load is done!

HI, check the following to address this issue.

1. Clogged drain line or water pump
Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine).

2. Water Pump
If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect time to replace the belt(s) if needed.

**The most common issue will be an obstructed hose or, line

Kenmore front loader not draining with a clicking noise

Check your drain pump reservoir for any possible obstructions. That may be the source of the clicking noise. Probably something stuck in the pump impeller. The following link explains how:

If clearing the drain pump does not resolve the problem, you may have a damaged drain pump. If they do not pump at the correct volume, the washer will not complete a wash cycle. If this is the case, you will need to replace it. You can find replacements at any of the following web sites:

searspartsdirect.com
appliancepartspros.com
pcappliancerepair.com
repairclinic.com

All these sites offer great service and have competitive pricing, so shop all of the for the best deals.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Kenmore front load won't drain spins then blinks no spin

Yes this is the place, but you have to mop up the water or it would flood the place; clean out the muck from the filter and refit carefully. You have to clean your filter according to usage, the filter does not self clean, no way.

Kenmore 22062 will not cycle correctly

Problem fixed. I took apart the bottom of the washer to access the pump, and found that there was underwire from bras stuck in the discharge tube blocking the water from exiting the washer and that was causing the cycle problem. I guess that the washer knew that there was too much water in the tub and kept trying to expel it.

F2 flashing on display screen washer won't continue cycle????

This means that the drain time has exceeded 8 minutes and the water valves have turned off. After 4 minutes the suds error is displayed then 4 minutes later the F2 error.
Potential causes
1.Check drain hose for kinks or cloggs
2.Check electrical connection at the pump and make sure the pump runs.
3.Check inside of pump for foreign objects
4.If none of the above fixes the machine replace the pump.
