Question about HP DesignJet 450c InkJet Printer
WHEN I LOAD THE PAPER IT SCANS THE PAPER AND THEN THE MEDIA LIGHT COMES ON AND IT THROW THE PAPER OUT. IT SEEMS THE PLOTTER CANNOT FIND THE POSITION TO STOP THE PAPER WITHOUT THE MEDIA LIGHT COMING ON.I HAVE TRIED THICKER AND THINNER PAPER.I BOUGHT THIS PRINTER NEW AND DID NOT MAKE MORE THAN 500 PRINTS CAN YOU HELP.
Either the carriage board, line sensor, encoder strip, or electronics module are defective. The media sensor would not cause this behavior.

I don't know if you are running in sheet or roll media, but we have this problem with roll media if it is not aligned properly. Usually if I release the media lever and pull 10-12" of paper through and align it with itself and with the dotted line to the right of the plotter, then it will accept it. Sometimes takes several tries. Sheet problems may be caused by dirty sensors. Good luck.
