Factory reset?? can i get it to be "out of the box" every again

I have had this camera for a long time, and changed alot of the settings, dont know how but now every video i record is only a small image (with a massive black boarder) i have a suspicion the image on my PC/TV is proptionate to the size of the LCD screen on the camera itself??

had a look in the manual and theres nothing there that points me to "reset"

does anyone have any idea? your help will be greatly apreciated!

thanks

steve

when looking for the "widescreen" option, i stumbled across a "reset"function...i swear it wasnt there before, ive enabled it and it seems to be working fine through the TV!!! amazing, i'l have to get back to you about how it performs on a pc (the pc with my editing software isnt totaly functional right now) but i'l give it a go and let you know either way!!!

thanks for the help (however simple it must seem to you)

    steve

It should playback on a regular tv in the correct way. Is it doing that?

Does that camcorder let you record in widescreen as well as standard?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Reset factory setting

Although Nikon cameras can be set back to the factory settings in several steps, I can't find anything in the Canon manuals, that says how to reset the camera or to put it back in the factory settings.
Perhaps you did change the firmware once. Most of the time there is a descriptions, how to do that and what to do if things go wrong. This could be something to reset the camera.

Nikon coolpix p90 how to reset to factory settings

It doesn't reset everything, but there is a "Reset All" command in the Setup menu. Press the MENU button, then the wrench and then "Reset All."
This reset leaves the date/time, white balance, language, and video mode alone.

Lost alot of channels on the starview box trid rebooting box no luck can anybody help me pls or have the codes change

Hi
Try putting it back to factory setting and re-installing channels. Dont forget to switch EMU back on. It is a pain sorting all the channels again but worth it to recover lost channels.

Delayed shutter

Here as in some other posts, you can try to RESET the firmware in the menus. Go through the menus and find where it says something like reset all.
What this does is to reset it back to factory settings.
Then set the options you like, and then try the camera again.

Check the diff. modes for the picture taking. See if the flash can be turned off.

Intaller code

The factory default code to reset the system is 8111, however this will reset all program functions back to the factory settings, with the exception of the time and date. The default Operator code to use the system is enter, enter, enter, enter. This should allow you to operate the system.
