Camera functions work however the display is blank (looks like it's
off). I know the functions work because I've taken pictures and viewed
them via the computer. Also, the display works perfectly if I use
remote shooting on the pc program. I am using new batteries.

Why no display on lcd screen when shooting?

The Display button toggles the information shown on the LCD (or turns it off entirely). Make sure you haven't inadvertently pressed it and turned off the display. It works as follows:

Press once for Normal view in LCD viewfinder
Press twice to turn on Rule of Thirds grid lines
Press three times to turn off LCD display
Press and hold 1 sec. to decrease/increase LCD brightness

My lcd display won't show the camera image while taking pics but it will show the menu and previously taken photos by pressing the play button. What could be wrong?

Turn the camera on, and press the DISP button on the back of the camera. This turns the LCD screen on and off. The idea of this button is to save battery power (you would then use the peep hole optical viewfinder in its place).

Hi Ron just want to no if you do repairs on the Moultrie D50 trail camera

They are close to the D40s inside but the D50 won't fit a D40s "lunchbox"outer case without modifying it. Both are known for flash problems, which usually ends up being bad charge capacitors (3x 250mfd)..
the ones I can't fix,I rob the LCD menu displays, which rarely fail in D40/D50s, and use them in the I40/I60s notorious for bad menu displays...they are interchangeable with minor mods if any.
Oh, you just asked if I worked on them...

My Nikon L20 LCD won't display

The display being blank can be due to failure of the LCD or the CCD which is the optical sensor of the camera. So to confirm check the older picture to be seen on the display. Confirm this by checking the card on your PC. If the images/picture is seen to be of good quality, then the LCD can be faulty, fault on the linking cable or the control board.

However if the older images are seen well then the LCD is working correctly and the fault can be failure of the CCD- charge coupled device in the camera. If you have accidently exposed the camera directly to high intensity light / sunlight, then it is possible that it is damaged. Remove the battery and keep the camera aside to reset and try as a last resort. Get estimate before you decide. It will be good to have it checked at the authorised service as you do not have to run around for spares.

I have a Canon A560 camera. It takes pictures and I can download them to my computer OK. But the LCD screen is black, I don't see any display at all. Pushing the display button does no good.It got...

If your LCD doesn't light up then it's either the backlight or the LCD, you can open up the camera and check the cables before buying any parts. Some LCD screens come with the backlight, some don't; not sure if this one does or not.

IF it was water damage, you probably have corrosion on the main PCB and won't be able to fix it without replacing the board... open it up and check for corrosion!

Hope this helps.

Lcd broken.Any chance to change lcd.

yes LCD's are a pain to replace on your own but luckily I'm here to help... please remember to rate me for helping you

the easiest way is to buy a new LCD

such as here:
finepix-f30-digital-camera-repairing-lcd-display-screen-replacement.html">http://www.ownta.com/fujifilm-finepix-f30-digital-camera-repairing-lcd-display-screen-replacement.html
or on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/FUJIFILM-F40-REPLACEMENT-LCD-DISPLAY-REPAIR-PART_W0QQitemZ320283316623QQihZ011QQcategoryZ64352QQcmdZViewItem

Follow link to ebay vendor: Most lcd display screens are available

or you could build your own but without a ton of experience, this is more of a challenge than it's worth.

I hope this helps :)
