SOURCE: WATER DRIPS DOWN FROM INSIDE TOP REFRIGERATOR BELOW FREEZER

Not an original solution - but a good one. Remove panels at the back of the freezer compartment to expose the heater unit or heater wire that defrosts the freezer coils and wrap a solid copper wire gently around the heater/ heater wire and place the loose end in the drain. This will conduct heat to the freezer drain and help keep it open. I did see a manufactured part in one of the appliance parts websites but it did not match my unit.

It really sounds like the defrost timer is staying on all the time.Have the timer checked. This must be a on going problem with this brand,I am getting a lot of them.So many things could be the problem, but the defrost timer is what really stands out,the defrost timer, does just that,it defrost only a certain short period of time,or it is supposed to.That is how you get frost free.If I can help any more please ask,but have the defrost imer checked ,or replaced.

  • you need to remove the cover where the fan is mounted and you will see ice build up there is the hole but you may need to use hot water to clear the ice and clear the drain hole water should come out to the back of the refrigerator you need to remve the cover behind to see the drain line make sure to disconnect the unit before you work on it.
