No battery. The igniters are piezo style that doesn't use batteries. If it has failed, you can get a replacement at any store that sells BBQ grilles or home improvement stores.

may the usb device in your bios is disable. you must enable the usb device in your bios to recgnice your usb. you must enter to the bios setup to config. the usb configuration.
