Question about PC Desktops

1 Answer

Someone was messing with my monitor controls, and it is all messed up. I can hardly read the writing. How do you return the monitor to the original factory settings? I have used the menu and the arrows at the bottom of the monitor. It seems like the more I mess with it, the worse it gets. I have the 19" wide tft lcd monitor # PL926WBi

Song back grounds

now if these song backgrounds just suddenly play without your knlowledge then it sounds like you have spyware or some kind of sub 7 program that someone sent you a client and you installed it, that gives them total access to your laptop and all the info. and they can even control certain functions to mess with you. if that is what you are describing is happening.if so your best bet is to do a full format of your hard drive

see if one of the little wires inside the wire end from the monitor that goes into the tower is bent or messed up. If one of those are missing, the whole monitor is messed up. Also look on the back of the tower for the |O| picture. It should be blue.

Yup. it is possible your hard drive is messed up but have you tried to check you memory card? Try to clean it using a clean cloth, rub the pins, and also blow the memory slots. Video card can may also be the cause. Just do same step as memory card.

Computer loading/splash screen pixilated and distorted

if you can, hook the computer up to a different monitor and see if it does the same thing. It sounds like it is an issue with your monitor initalizing but the reboot can complicate things. Also if you have a cd that came with the computer you might want to put it in and see if you can re-install your video drivers. One last thing is to check and see if the reboot might have changed some of the settings on the monitor itself. See if you can reset to factory default or an auto adjust. It depends on the kind of monitor as to wich option you can do

My E drive is missing from my computer....

I am confused as to what the drive is. Are you talking about the hard drive (stores data), optical drive (reads and writes data on a disc). Please update your post.

Monitor displays everything upside down

There are two options:

Stand on your head, or..

Someone may have messed with the monitor settings.

Right click anywhere on your desktop, then choose "properties".

Then click "settings"

Then click "advanced"

If you're using any 3rd party video card (asus, nvidia, ati, etc), you will see an extra menu like this:
