Hibernating I guess

I have a HP dc7100 tower and a 1530 monitor, i've recently moved and had to re-hook everything back up, in doing this the cpu comes on but the screen is blank it just says "going to sleep" so I am not able to do anything with the computer, the mouse does not activate anything or the keyboard, what is wrong and what can I do to get it back up and running, again, I can not see what's going on on the screen.  Thanx for any help.

Okay, there is no Fn key on my keyboard.  The only thing plugged into my computer is the monitor, the keyboard and mouse.  both the green lights on the computer come on but the one on the right stays on, which never does, and the left one continues to flash.  The monitor says "Going to Sleep".  I can hear the word program come on with the music.  I do not have vista, the system is 4 years old, it was pack and moved and unpacked it sat for about 2 weeks with no activity.  The monitor is a hp 1530 and the light turns amber after about 10 seconds of turning it on.  I have tried and changed several plugs and outlets, there is no disc in the drive, I do not believe there is anything wrong with the keyboard, I just think it's in the suspend mode and I can't get it out.  HELP!  Thanx

How to coonect HDMI CABLE from CPU to Monitor of HP Pavilion

Look for an HDMI port that fits the cable on the back of the computer tower and monitor, also look on the video card outputs on the back of the desktop itself.

Add second hard drive

There are three variants for this case: the mini-tower (which you say you don't have), the "Small Form Factor", and the "Ultra-Slim Desktop".

The "Small FOrm Factor" has an internal 3.5" bay that will support a second HDD.

I have a zx4351, touch sreen wireless gateway desk top computer , i had cable co. today to hook it and now my screen does not turn on and has no power going to it what is it?

Your desktop tower/cpu tower has to be turned on to give those hardware power. If you can't turn on your computer then that means you have an internal problem with your motherboard etc. If everything else powers up except for the screen/monitor your video is dead. Find someone you know that has an extra monitor and hook it up to your tower, if it works then it's not your video but the monitor instead.

Powered down my cpu (hp pavilion 1530 ) and about 5 hours later it would not power up. Hit he power button and nothing, no fans, no blue light, no cdrom bliking, but the green led is lit on the P/S.

Hi,

Open your tower:
Remove first the video card if you are using a Add in video card. Of course connect your monitor to the built-in video card
Try now

Next remove ram and reseat them back ( if you have more than one stick, try reseating only one)

Try now again

Disconnect CD-rom, Hard Drive

Try now

Last but not least try a different Power supply

Good Luck

I recently placed my computer into storage. When I took it out and set it up, the CPU seemed to be running but there was nothing on the monitor and the keyboard didn't seem to be functioning. The mouse...

unplug the power cable of the CPU
press the power button for about 5-10 secs

open the tower and reseat the memory

it looks like this 8848bab.jpg

check the memory if theres any dust and put it back the way it was before

push the memory back in with a small force until the 2 white clips snap in

hope this help

NO POWER AT ALL!

Does the power supply have its own power switch?

It is located next to where the power wire plugs into the back of the PC.
