Is this a new screen saver? How much memory do you have? Have you scanned for virus's and spyware recently? How good of a graphic card do you have? Where did you the screen saver from? If you got it for free of the web a lot of these screen savers turn out to be a form of spyware called backdoor trojans....give more info then we can go from there...

I want to remove freeze.com screensavers from my system. How can I do this?

Go to control panel, add/remove programs & remove it. You can also try simply going under the start menu & unsing the "remove" feature built in to the program. If none of that works, download malwarebytes & run that. ( google it) Let me know.

Screen saver freezes up how can I fix it?

You problably have some software conflict.
The easy way is disconnect your screensaver.

To do that go to:

Start >> Control Panel >> Display >> Screen Saver (select NONE) then hit OK

Dell XPS420 Freezes after being in sleep mode

Is there a reason why you cant turn off sleep mode and just let the screen saver kick in? You can do this by right clicking on your desktop and goto properties. Then ScreenSaver, then click on power.
Change these values to never and then go back and set your screen saver...

Hope this Helps...

I cant get in to my screensaver settings, when i right click my desktop click on personalize then try to click on screensaver nothing happens and then everything sort of freezes i have a toshiba u405-s2820

Hello,

This is only for XP and 2000. Also, try to change your desktop background before you use this information. The option to change the background is on the same screen as the screensaver settings. The tab says background instead of screensaver.

Download cleandesktop (http://thespykiller.co.uk/downloads/cleandesktop.exe)and save to your desktop. (right click save as)
Double-click on the cleandesktop.exe it will automatically extract to c:\desktopclean
Then it will automatically run the cleandesktop.vbs script.
It will then kill explorer. You will temporarily lose your taskbar and desktop .
It will then repair the registry entries returning your normal desktop and context menu functions.
It will then restart explorer. Your desktop will be shown again once you have performed the cleanup

Each of the other users on the system needs to be signed in to clean up their desktop and regain the right click.
Another vbs is included to do this. It is named "other profiles regfix.vbs".
Have each user sign in and run other profiles regfix.vbs.
Go to start > run and type: c:\desktopclean press enter double click on other profiles regfix.vbs
Explorer will be ended and that user's active desktop registry entries will be repaired.
Explorer will be restarted. To restore the desktop to whatever picture you normally have, right-click on a blank part of your desktop, select properties > desktop tab & select your preferred picture.
Press apply & then ok to exit and then press f5. (to refresh) you will need to do this step for every user account.

Thanks

The computer randomly freezes and you are unable to control the mouse or the keyboard.

This could be a number of problems, are you doing anything in particular when it happens, like using downloaded screensavers or website with java, or playing games. it sounds like it could bve RAM but difficult to determin without doing some checks
