Question about Frigidaire GLEQ2152ES Electric Dryer
I have a front load Frigidaire dryer GLEQ2152ES that displays an error code of E9E after it's been drying for about a minute. I called the manufacturer & they were unable to tell me what the code signifies & referred me to an appliance repair shop in my area. It would help to know exactly what repairs my dryer might need before I call the shop.
ngfam1 here for you!
I am happy to be of assistance!
This is an electronic problem and must be replaced by factory service!
If it happened from th beginning call factory service right away, it's under warranty, you do not pay for it!!!!!!!!
There is no other choice!
If the dryer was 10 years old I would recommend to trow it out and not spend a dime on it! Are you ready to buy a new machine??
If not let service fix it and get back to having clean clothes!
Here is the service company I refer my appliance customers too!
A&E Factory Service
A Nation Wide Company. / Available 24 / 7 for arranging appointments! In the USA.
If this dryer is 10 years old or more do not spend any money on it!
The new ones are much more efficient! If you have to replace it buy a Speed Queen , it will do 8 loads a week for 25 years!
It's the last washer and dryer I will ever buy!!!! And less expensive than a top of the line unit!
You will be fine now!

E9E stands for low voltage and/or intermittent power. At least that's what the "training" manual said.
However, my dryer was overheating to the point of the back being too hot to touch. The service rep with Best Buy told me the error message made no sense. Computers aren't so great. My dryers only three years old. My previous "analog" dryer ran forever.

Hello Patty Hanna - Typically error code AD indicates that the Auto Dry option has been selected. Using no heat in any Auto Dry cycle will result in long drying times and/or wet loads at the end of cycle. I would suggest selecting other option or resetting the unit. You may either unplug it or flip the household breaker off for approximately two minutes. Restart unit, select a normal cycle and verify if it will heat. If the dryer does not heat the unit it could possibly have a faulty heating element, blower assembly or a communication problem with the control panel. Contact a professional to move forward accurately.
