fisher minuet mount 1 pump motor not turning on. have power at solenoid with proper clicking noise, have power at plow connections and power at the pump itself. all valve controls are working with test light when usuing controls. the only way ive been able to make it work is by jumping motor directly with jumper cables from the other battery in the truck.

92 Cavalier Z24 wont start, or crank. BRAND new starter and solenoid, yet my problem persists, no cranking, no sounds of the solenoid.

If there's no 'click' when you turn the key there's a good chance that the starter relay isn't firing. Cheap part and easy to replace.

Everything lights up on dash but van won't crank, it just makes a click noise...like it has a flat battery, but the battery is new. Vehicle is a Nissan elgrand highway star 2005.

Possible it could be your starter solenoid. They click when they do not work.Sounds like starter problem if you are sure your battery is fully charged.

Cannot start loud fast clicking noise

Clicking noise would indicate starter solenoid faulty! This would also be the case if battery low but since you have a new battery you can look at the starter solenoid!

Turn key just a clicking noise. Lights come on. Check engine light on

A weak battery will make the lights come on & energize the solenoid for the starter, but the battery is too weak to make the starter motor turn. Checking the battery would be first, the solenoid second.

I have a 2005 dodge neon 2.0L sxt and ive replaced my motor mounts my battery, the starter, belt, a new key, and the egnition switch and my car still acting up. when my car sit over night it will start and...

The clicking noise is probably the starter solenoid. It sits on top of the starter. It has two large terminals, one from the battery and one to the starter. Jump these with a large screwdriver, make sure the car is in neutral or park and the ingition is off. If the starter turns then the solenoid is faulty.

Turn the key and the engine makes a click noise only and wont turn over. lights and accessories work so i believe battery is good. iam thinking starter or soliniod ?

Yes, if it is making a loud clicking noise it is most likely the starter. The solenoid is working...that is what you hear clicking. Doesn't matter...you get both when you buy a starter anyway.

Hi Kelly,
sounds like your battery is a bit sick. Or it could be the starter motor solenoid sticking.
The click you are hearing is probably the starter motor solenoid. If you hear a series of loud clicking its usually due to a flat battery in which case you need a jump start from another car.
If you can get someone to charge up your battery using a portable charger and the car starts OK, its a fair bet your battery is on it's way out. You can get your battery tested at any large reputable auto repair shop.
If the battery is OK, the solenoid can get stuck on your starter motor. Often a light tap with a rubber or wooden mallet can free up a stuck solenoid, but ultimately you will need a new starter motor. (BTW The solenoid is the smaller bit attached to your starter motor. There will be heavy wires attached to it) Have a look at link 1 below for more info.

1995 traker made a loud noise like a lawn mower as I was driving

the shifter has a park neutral lock out device.
it will not shift out ( see left side of console for hidden cover, move lever inside for emergancy shifting)
until you start motor, step on the brake and then the solenoid in the shifter box
unlocks the shifter.

but that is not the problem.

back up.
car will not start or the car will not crank.

turn key ,nothing happens.
turn key , just hear starter solenoid click
turn key , motor cranks, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr, but will not start.

which is it.?

Car wont start, makes a clicking sound under the hood

try replacing the starter it may be bad, its not your clutch sensor if it was it would do nothing at all. try turning your motor over by hand the starter gear maybe stuck to the flex plate or push start the truck, shut it off and then try to start it if i does nothing but click replace the starter then
