MAYBE, and just maybe, there is something wrong with your wii on the inside. if you seriosly do have all of the cords plugged, then i really dont know what's wrong. if its new enough, then the warranty should still be active and you can return it to the store you bought it from and get a new one. OPTION # 2: you can bring it to game stop and see if theres anything wrong with it on the inside. if you still have problems, then i'm lost

hope anything i said helped.

I have the same problem.... What I tried doing is making sure that the cables are put in correctly and that you are on the right channel. If that doesn't work... you should call nintendo cand ask for answers or a replacement wii

i just fixed my wii with the same problem. If your wii is plugged into
a VCR, go to the vcr settings and check if the cooresponding locations
of the video and audio cables are correct. I plugged my wii into the
front of the vcr. In the setting, it was selected as rear. When I
swirched the settings from rear to front, all worked perfectly. hope
this helps. And if you did not plug your wii into a vcr, makes sure
that the settings on your tv are corresponding with the location of the
    aduio and video settings.

My wii wont turn on the power does not show a light

Try a different outlet to make sure the outlet you have it on is good or not.

If a different outlet didn't make it turn on then at that point, try another ac adapter for the Wii. If a different adapter doesn't work then you know the main board inside of the Wii is bad.

Make sure you have the input set correctly on the TV. If you turned everything off, it probably reset back to default input.

BRAND NEW WII-HAVE SOUND BUT NO PICTURE

When you turn the Wii on, and the light goes from red or orange to green, press A a few times (this would be to get through the warning/safety screen) then wait a minute. Then when you wave your remote about, you will feel it vibrating as it goes over the channel icons on the wii menu screen. Plus a blue light will be lit at the bottom of the remote to denote player 1.

If all of this happens, it is just a lead or TV input issue. If these things do NOT happen, the Wii is broke and needs fixing by Nintendo!

Also, check the refresh rate on your television an make set to be compatible. That may also cause a picture not to show up.

Power is on but screen is black

I found this [temporary] solution at http://www.wiierror.com/wii-black-screen.php:

(via email, thanks Steven) This happened to me once, but I fixed it. Here is how:
Eject the disk
Unplug the wii at the back
Wait 1 minute
Plug it back in
Turn it on from the remote
Press reset if it does not show up
Hold the power button to shut it off
Turn it on once more.
I don't know how, but it seemed to work for me. The problem happened when I was trying to load the Mii channel. Hope this helps !

(via email, thanks Andrew)
The first time I shut down my Wii, the light went orange (as it should). When I turned on the power with my wii remote the next day, the wii\'s light turned green but the screen was black.
The treatment was the same as from Black Screen, No Connection: Unplug the Wii\'s power supply unit, then replug; turn system on with wii remote.
The difference is: this problem can strike in more places than just by loading the Mii Channel. Also, I think the green light being on (yet there being a black screen) is a common symptom as well.

Wii black screen

The following fix should help users who do have problems with some virtual console games for the Nintendo Wii that display only a black screen after starting them while the sound remains normal. This does not work in all occasions but should work if you get the Wii menu when you press Home and works only for games that received an update for the interlaced mode.
Try out the following to see if this fixes the issue. Start the game normally until you see the black screen. Connect the Nunchuck to the Wiimote and press Home to see the menu options. Now press A + 2 + Z together which should result in a short “ping-like” sound.
This should have activated the interlaced mode. Leave the menu and you should see the normal game screen and not the black screen anymore. To change the mode again press A + 1 + Z using the same method as above
