Question about Compsee Apex II

Error 20 When I try to retrieved information through Apex Appliation Manager the progress bar gets to 34 percent and then freezes. The scanner displays * Error 20 *

Sometimes i can get it to retrieve on another station. Maybe its a communication issue and taking too long to retrieve so it timed out.
also you can change the program to wait longer before timing out.

I can't get the computer to recognize it when i plug it in the usb port.


If you know the brand and model, these can be used to search for the correct driver. The driver will need to be downloaded for the scanner to be recognized. I would suggest searching for the driver for the specific model.

It might depend on your application, but I'd try downloading all the information you scanned more often than every 20K items. It's possible that you are filling up the memory in the unit and it won't accept any more.

Apex II Scanner is reading error 44


With ours, we have to press F1 and then Enter, then a location (in our case a Pallet Number, say M0100) - then we are able to start "zapping".

Scanner blocks when scanning a bar-code


the metrologic scanner you are talking about has a barcode in the maual under the keyboard wedge section it is called stand alone keyboard this will cure your problem when you scan it. the reason being it fools the scanner into thinking there is a keyboard connected. hope this helps Pete
