It means your system is not booting, check the memory module look for replacement, When you get a ne memory module and fix it and with this it should boot. Good luck

Pc shut down. when resterted no graphics or

Regarding with this problem, when computer which is shutting down. It is the processor problem they can not reach the temperature. Be sure that the CPU fan is spinning so that it will control the CPU temperature. If the fan is not spinning it will cause overheating. Try to disassemble the unit specifically the CPU. Clean your unit remove the dust, when you assemble back your unit make sure that you will put a thermal paste between the CPU and the CPU heat sink so that the of the CPU will absorbed by the heat sink.

Good luck!

My desktop computer display black ,but CPU light is on -one yellow and one red , monitor light is on , keyboard light flashes on start and then stopped. Sometimes computer start after switch on , window...

you posted several problems and some are resulted in your trying to diagnose the problem. IF the monitor is black yet you can see the cpu lights meaning it is reading but does not power up all the hardware. In my years of experience in solving hundreds of computer. This is primarily cause by memory or video card. Just re-install or re-insert the memory or video card. This will likely solve the problem. IF just in case the problem still exist replace the memory (RAM) or the video card to check which of which has the defect.
In regards to your computer performing disk scan, this is part of windows utility to fix the hard drive. This is usually cause by pressing the reset button. This appears because when your computer does not power up you reset it. This is normal and nothing to worry about.

No Beep No Display

Clear the CMOS by getting the Jumper11 or remove the Lithium Battery CR2032.
Usually this happen when some part on the MB are hang-up, no beep, no display.
Or Try to change or test another Processor on it.
I encounter like this before and that's what i do until its working.
Good luck!
If i am helpful please rate me.

Monitor not coming ON

The monitor is not able to detect any video signal from the motherboard, that means your pc is not starting up. Try cleaning the RAM first. Then clear the CMOS and try to start ur computer again

Compaq Presario 4400us

Either the new power supply you purchased is not functioning correctly. But, assuming it is now that you are getting some form of power to your PC, it is very likely the motherboard. Whatever fried your old power supply (or it could have just been the power supply itself) most likely fried your motherboard in the process. Probably not the CPU since the MB can't even post.
