Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-32FS100 32" TV
Our 3 year old tv will not turn on. The standby light blinks 9 times, stops and then repeats every time you push the power button. The TV had been unplugged for approx 24 hours due to storms prior to this problem. Does anyone know what the 9 flashes indicate? I know it is a code, but sony support will not tell you, they want you to pay their repair people.
The 9 blinks usually mean that the power regulators are shot. This is a relatively simple repair and is a wear and tear item. Expect about $25-$35 in parts plus the local labor rate for the total repair cost. If you want to try and repair it your self, I can look up the part designations and numbers.
Keep me posted.
