On the SD card:
You Format the SD card memory. This will erase all images.
Formatting an SD memory card also erases the protected images. All data other than images are also erased. Before formatting the card, make sure that all the images are unnecessary. Formatting is an irreversible action and data cannot be recovered at a later time.
1. Turn on the power by pressing and hold the button. 2. Toggle the button to access in movie, camera or playback (SELECT
MODE) mode, then press the button. The MOVIE / CAPTURE / PLAYBACK / MP3 / AUDIO MENU is displayed.
3. Press to access in SYSTEM MENU. 4. Select [FORMAT] with the zoom lever, and press the button. 5. Select [YES] with the zoom lever, and press the button.

Deleting Still images/Video Clips
1. Turn on the power by pressing and holding the button.
2. Toggle the button to go to [SELECT MODE].
3. Select [IMAGE/MOVIE] with the zoom lever and press the button. 4. Select the still image/video clip that you want to erase with the zoom
lever. You may select the still image/ video clip that you want to erase from the thumbnail display.
5. Press the button. The PLAYBACK MENU is displayed.
6. Select [DELETE FILE] or [DELETE ALL] with the zoom lever, and press the button.
DELETE FILE: Delete the current still image/video clip. DELETE ALL: Delete all still images/video clips.
7. Select [YES] with the zoom lever, and press the button.
To not delete, select [NO], and press the button. If all video clips/images are deleted, [NO FILE!] pops up. If you want to turn back to the photography mode, press the button.

You need to remove the memory card from the camcorder and place it into a pc or photo shops computer. This will allow you to view the saved items on the memory card. You can then save these to disc and delete the contents on the card.

Keep telling memory is full i buy a new one still the same thing

Try purchasing a memory card to insert in your camcorder to solve your memory full problems. The bigger the card, the more room before your memory is full. Transfer your videos and/or photos to your computer and delete what is left over in the camcorder whenever possible.

My flip camera says its empty but when I try to record it says its full??

Your memory card may think it's full if you've been deleting pics from it when it's in your PC and not in the camera.

If you've offloaded all the pics you want to from your memory card, put it back in your camera and "reformat" the card - there should be instructions how to do this in your camera manual. (If you've misplaced your manual you can likely find an online version on the website of your camera manufacturer). Hopefully this will fix your problem.

From now on, (even if you have to buy a new memory card), don't do any editing or deleting of pics directly on the memory media while it is in your PC (or Mac). Offload your pics to a file of their own on the PC (you can edit pics from that file). Then put the memory card back into the camera, verify that you did indeed successfully offload the pics to the PC (with the media card out of the PC), then delete the pics from the card while it's in the camera.

Reformat the memory card periodically (in the camera) after you've offloaded your pics (reformatting will erase all pics so you've gotta be sure you captured them elsewhere) to maintain the 'health' & full functionality of your memory card.

Memory full but no memory card in why is that?

Sounds like the internal memory, which is 16mb flash memory is full, the sd card that you can insert and use to take pictures on is an expansion of the internal memory. Trying moving those pictures or video to your pc or deleting them if you dont need them and that should take care of the problem. I hope this helps.

Is there a way to recover deleted videos?

You can often successfully recover deleted files from a PC, phone or camera memory card or USB Memory stick, it just depends on what's happened since the files were deleted.
When you delete files the data itself isn't deleted, just the index entry that says where the data for those files is located. The space containing the deleted files is also now marked as free space so it is available to the system for any new files to be written there instead.

If and when that happens, then it becomes too late to recover your deleted files so it is very, very important to not save any new files or data to the device concerned.
If the deleted files are on a memory card or USB memory stick, just don't save any new files to it.

One of the easiest ways to see if you can recover deleted files is to try some file recovery software. Recommended this data recovery as it saved my life many times.

Recover 'lost' flip video

I had success with this camcorder recovery software named asoftech data recovery before

You need to take out the memory card or hard disk from camcorder, and then connect the memory card or hard disk to computer, you can then use asoftech data recovery software to recover lost videos.

Seems like its time to flush the contents of the memory card of camcorder to a computer.
There's a limited amount of memory in every memory card. After constant recording, the memory  gets full and the recorded stuff needs to be either deleted or flushed (uploaded to a computer) to make room for newly recorded stuff.

Unless you have a blank memory card, your problem should be solved by the above mentioned idea.
