Same problem here. Found out why- it's a mis-advertised product! The KDC-X590 / KDC-MP538U only supports Gen5+ ipods... the majority of iPods are not supported!

Update the software on your iPod, our gen 1 Nano didn't work w/ software verson 1.00 but upgrade to 1.31 now it works!

I just bought one and am PISSED OFF-- the KDC-X592 / KDC-MP538U is NOT ipod compatible! It's ONLY compatible with Gen 5+ ipods -- the majority of ipods are not supported!

Where could i fond the wiring diagram for my Kenwood Excelon KDC-X592 Car CD/ MP3 Player?

There are vehicle - specific adapter plugs for after market radio hook ups. These adapters are used to connect the original plug that was connected to the original radio with the new radio's plug.

You didn't list what vehicle you have, year, model. You can do a web search with " (year and model of vehicle) radio wiring adapter".
Hopefully you'll find the adapter for your vehicle.

Connect iPod and it just says "reading"

This happened to me. What worked was turning off the ipod (not stand by mode). Turn it back on and plug it in, it should work.

Kenwood kdc-x592 No sound on CD and..

your amp turn on is hooked to the power antenna wire. Swap the blue wires and youll be good to go. Since the power antenna is not needed, when the radio goes off tuner, the 12V signal is turned off. and your amplifier will also then lose its remote turn on.
Reverse the 2 blue wires.

Changed car battery & Kenwood execolon kdc-X592 AUX is gone

Try pressing 'menu', scroll to "built in aux", and toggle to the 'on' position. Then the aux input should be available again. The radio losing power would have reset any internal memory causing it to go back to factory defalts. Hope this helps
