you should not need drivers for that all, windows should be able to recognize it.
These things usually need an external power supply, first check if it is connected.
Try it with a different computer. If it works then I suggest a system restore on the other comp. If it doesn't work (which is likely) then you should take apart the metal case, remove the HDD (which is a totally standard desktop HDD) and plug it inside the comp with the SATA port. Windows then will correct the disk errr upon turning on. If it doesn't work this way either then it's dead. If it works flawlessly, but when put back into the case it doesn't wok again then the housing is faulty.
I am a little puzzled (from Manchester). I think you are saying that this drive is an external drive powered by usb connection to your pc. If this is so, have you tried it on another pc? I assume you are getting the "USB Device not recognised" message when plugged in. Try plugging it into the usb ports on the backplate (if it is a tower pc that is). If all else fails then try and download a linux (ubunto) distro and burn to dvd. Boot your pc from the cd and linux will appear as your desktop. now plug in your drive and if it opens ok then copy the contents to your original drive in the pc. If all goes well you can then delete the partition on the usb drive and when back into windows you can format the drive and if lucky you can copy back the pics back onto it. If this does not work then the drive is shafted. The only way to get the data from it is to give it to a data recovery company who will charge the earth but at least you will have the pics.
The first thing to check would be the USB cable you're using - try a different one. If that makes a secure connection, you're set. If not, the problem is likely with the USB-IDE board that your external drive is using. You can open it up and re-seat the connection yourself, or remove the drive inside and connect it to your PC with a USB-IDE adapter (available on eBay, Amazon, etc.)
You can also contact MicroNet Technologies about warranty service, if your hard drive is within warranty period. They should be able to repair it for you without wiping your data. Here's their contact information:

Sounds like a Bit recognition failure. Is there a way to establish the firmware or software on the harddrive you may need to http://inoi.com/English/DriverDownloads.asp
This may resolve the issue and May you enjoy

Make sure you are using the original composite cable and check the connections. If you are using a SCART cable check the connections. Also make sure the remote control is responding to media player. Check the drive responds when you press the “STANDBY” button on the remote. If the drive responds then the remote is working fine. If not change the battery and see whether it helps. Also try on another TV and see whether it works. If not back up all the data on the drive and format it and see whether it helps. All the best!
Can you please tell me, whether the drive responds when you press the “STANDBY” button on the remote? If the drive responds then the remote is working fine and the actual unit is faulty. If the drive does not respond then the remote is faulty. You need to buy or get a replacement from the seller. All the best!
