SANSA M240 1GB MP3 PLAYER

I have a Sansa M240 mpa player which has about 82 songs on it. Recently when I went into try and view the songs via Media Player on the computer, only 6 showed up. This is annoying as there are songs which I would like to delete.

Help appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, my m240 does the same thing. I partly fixed it by going to menu\settings\reset all. Temporalily fixes it, need to do it occasionally. Still missing a lot of space though!

Ok found a better fix, I think resetting the unit as I suggested before just switches from one USB mode to the other, dont understand. Found v. useful help at http://www.tnni.net/~walterjmoore/m250/f... I tried it and all space is restored and seems to be fine-for now! Good luck

Sansa won't turn on. I charged it, then it worked for 1 song - went off and now it is not turning on

Did you recently buy this item? Sometimes you must completely charge your mp3 player. Usually takes about 5 hours.

Bad track and Battery

Make sure the hold switch is not engaged.
Remove the songs from the player and then reload them. If they are froma subscription service, make sure they do not have fixed-term licenses on them. Right-click song --> Properties --> digital rights or media usage rights
Use Windows Media Player to view the songs that are stored on your mp3 player - best to view them in the "Sync" tab. Find the song that you want to delete, right-click the song, and select Delete (or left-click and press Delete on your keyboard). Voila!

I can't put songs on my Sansa Sandisk e250....

You must have the automatic synchronization option checked - go to www.microsoft.com and enter "windows media player manual sync" as your search term - it will give you click-by-click instructions with pictures on how to disable the automatic synchronization; it will also, give you pictures on how to sync a song.

How do I get my Sansa e260 to appear in Windows Media Player (v. 11; Vista)?

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
