Question about Haicom GPS

SD reader of HI-305 III seems to do not work on Ipaq 214

I would like to know why the SD reader included with your CF card Haicom HI-305 III seems to not work with pda HP Ipaq 214 with Wm6 and default configuration. I have installed the included driver elsdmmc but it doesn't yet recognize the reader and it doesn’t create the directory to see the SD contents. I know for sure that the same card works correctly with other pdas. It is a problem of some incompatibility or what? There are some workings around? Could you help me please? I thank you in advance for you answer.

Can i use windows vista with my ipaq 3835 pocket pc and what is till the memory expandable upto

No, you cannot use Windows Vista on your iPAQ.
I am not 100% sure but, I have seen products made before the whole HD SD cards not being able to use them so, I would stick to the regular SD cards which go to 2GB.

My hp ipaq hx 2790 don't read the memory cards

Are the memory cards of similar size to what you have used before? Some large capacity ones cannot be used. Have you used a memory card before in this device so you know it was working?

Your slot in the iPAQ is a SD slot, not a SDHC slot - therefore it will not read the card. Your PC card is probably a dual reader. The SD cards look the same but are different. Have a read of this...

Have you tried using an SD card? The hx2000 is supposed to support SD cards and CompactFlash Type II memory cards. If it doesn't respond, it's possible that your second-hand device simply has a faulty card slot.

SD Card not reading

I had this problem once and found after tedious looking that one of the pins was bent inside my HP 3715 PDA. I used a very small needle nose and a safety pin and pushed it back in location. Has been working ever since.

Palce where to insert sim card

It's not a phone. It's a pocket PC.
CAUTION: For synchronization to work properly, install Microsoft
ActiveSync on your personal computer before you connect your
iPAQ Pocket PC to your computer.
To install a CompactFlash (CF) or Secure Digital (SD) card into
an expansion slot on the iPAQ Pocket PC:
1. Locate the appropriate slot on the top of the iPAQ Pocket PC.
To identify slot locations, refer to the Getting Started
document that came with the iPAQ Pocket PC.
2. Before inserting a CompactFlash (CF) card into the CF
expansion slot, pull the plastic slot cover from the CF slot.
3. Insert the expansion card into the appropriate expansion slot
and push the connection edge of the card firmly into the
expansion slot.
✎If your expansion card is not recognized, follow the card
manufacturer’s instructions to install it.
✎For more detailed help, refer to the Help files installed on your
iPAQ Pocket PC. From the Start menu, tap Help > Connections.
✎To prevent power loss, remove any expansion cards from either
the CF or SD expansion slots before turning off the iPAQ
Pocket PC.

Use file explore option in Activesyn or just use a SD card reader to transfer music, pictures, etc. to the card. It's much faster & easier.
