Question about Computers & Internet

Pc problems hi, I'm having problems with my imedia M851 packard bell. It"s been cutting out when i click out of page to close it. the cursor seems to disappair then the screen turns black.I have to turn off pc. When i turn the pc back on, it makes a dinging sound. Ding ding ding on the starting up process. There is a sign that comes up saying Out of Range then the pc sits with black screen and that blue sign. The out of range sign usually has some numbers with letters like H:118.5k,vs225.6. We have to leave the pc off for sometime before we can access it again. Hope you have some answers thanks. Gendolyn

Have you checked the CPU fan? the sound is because of the processor over heated. so check the CPU fan and make necessary arrangement for that.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How can i get graphic card drivers?

Click on this Packard Bell Support Download link,

http://www.packardbell.co.uk/pb/en/GB/content/download

Click on - Link to the old page - to the right.

Click on DESKTOP
Click on iMedia (2004-2005)
Click on Driver
Click on Xp

Click on the appropriate graphics driver file, ATI_R480_Chipset.exe,
OR,
Radeon _xpress200_811.exe

Download the Execute file (.exe), and install it.

(I would also download, and install the ATI_Catalyst_8630.exe
It's the 'control panel')

HI THERE MY PACKARD BELL 2215 IMEDIA WILL NOT BOOT UP. iT WAS WORKING PERFECTLY THEN IT CRASHED NOW IT STARTS, FANS SOUND, BUT THEN IT SWITCHES OFF, ANYONE HELP? X

Sounds like an overheating problem. Clean the dust out of it, make sure it can get air on all sides, make sure the fans are turning. If that doesn't work, unplug the computer, hit the power button 20 times, wait 1/2 hour and boot it up.

IMedia B2217 PC: DVD lid flaps down but drive

There should be a little pinhole located under the door on the bottom of the tray. Push a paperclip in the hole to get the tray open. After the tray opens, close it and see if you can open it normally, if not it's broken and needs replacing.

Packard bell imedia alt-col2 just keeps beeping on and off

Find out what's making the noise first. It's either your fan or your hard drive. Check to make sure the noise your're hearing isn't your fan cutting into one of your wiring harnesses. That could be why you have the video problems. If it's your hard drive making the noise, that means it's on it's way out and you should immediately back up your files on disk and replace the drive before you lose everything.
