What is your input source? Is it Antenna, HDMI, Component or Composite.
The Autotune is only for Antenna input when connected to an indoor or outdoor antenna, if you are connected to a cable or satellite STB then that is what will do the tuning.
Have you tried changing the input? Meaning, as soon as you power the screen on, press the "input select" button then wait a few seconds if nothing comes up press it again, do this until you find your connection and you should be set. This problem seems to keep coming up with this particular Plasma, so I guess I'll keep on answering. Good Luck
The instructions are in your TV manual, but because of the complexity of the TV and it's features, it may be difficult to find. I believe it is on P. 31 (at least of the manual I got online). You'll need to connect a TV antenna appropriate for your area. If broadcast sites are close (line of site) a simple bookshelf antenna will work. With the antenna connected, and the antenna input selected in setup, you allow the TV to scan for local channels in your area. I hope this helps you.
A factory reset made teletext available again on digital channels.
When on standby, push on remote in quick succession <info><menu><mute><power> buttons. Follow onscreen menu to option 12 (reset) and select. Be aware that you will have to tune in all analogue and digital channels again.
It sounds like ze power supply blew when it was being turned off. This seems to be typical of plasmas. Bad power supplys wont let the tv come on and will result in no lights coming on. Since there R no lights coming on, I would suspect the power supply first, followed by the power control board,. and circuit board. It may cost anywhere from $250 to $500 to fix.
G'day mate, A good HD antenna and proper orientation should do a lot of help. In the USA, a website guide HDTV owners to properly identity a suitable antenna and orientation. Check out: http://antennaweb.org/ A similar website may be available in Australia. If not, what you would want to do is to point the HD antenna to your source of Free To Air (FTA) broadcast. Cheers!
Check the +170 volt test point on the power board (not the power filter board, the one that the plug comes into) but the one to the right of that board. It has a 5v test point (TP +5v) , a +170 and a +70. I've found that the +170 transformer goes bad, and won't allow you to adjust the voltage using the pot screw.
