Clean you battery contacts and try to charge use a alcohol based cleaner or contact cleaner then try to charge if battery is getting hot its shorting out be prepared to replace battery if you haven't had the phone very long you might be able to replace with your service provider you'll need that battery number thats on the sticker and call your service provider and ask about warranty program you'll probably need a credit card for the proses

Measure the voltage of ur handset's battery by multimeter and the voltage should come minimum 3.0. Only then that will be charged.
Request any skilled mechanic to check the components related to charging and if then is fault then repair it.
