Question about Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP 24" LCD Monitor

It shuts off every hour or so for a few min.

My dell 2497 wfp 24 shuts it self of for a few mins rvery hour or so

    It's been replaced by Dell with another one that does the same thing

    My first thought would be inverter board or the backlight.

When i turnon my pc after 24 or 48 hrs it fans run so fast for a few minutes (10 to 15 mins) and after that it came its normal speed.... why its happning??


unit is getting too hot, eventually it will just shut off. its most likely the power supply. remove power supply and blow out with canned air. this should fix it for a while

Dell 2407 WFP monitor Flash Memory Card Reader does not


if on the card it is written SDHC then it means that the card reader doesn't support SDHC cards, for 100% compatibility try a 2/4 Gb card with only SD markings on it not SDHC.

Television shuts itself off


i had the same problem with my set shutting off and was told it may be the ballast so i changed that but it still would start up and shut down after a few mins, then i was asked if the bulb had been changed and i had not, so i did change the bulb and have not had it shut down yet. :) (so try a new bulb)

Check the pwer settings on Desktop-properties-screen saver- power options and set it from there. Disable Hibernation......sodeep

Monitor shuts off but green light stays on


I perhaps can. I would think inverter or ccfl's.

Lcd tv shuts down by its self


All you need to do is remove the back cover, then remove the metal cover that covered the power supply. Watch tv w/o cover, it won't shut down again. Try it and post here if it works.
