My xbox says update now or dont when i do it will not download it and says visit xbox.com/support then if i dont update i cant get on whats going on?

First make sure that your xbox has the most up to date live update, you can do this on your computer by going to http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/system-updates/system-updates-info and downloading it and then putting it on a usb disk and plugging it in to your xbox, 9 time out of 10 this will solve connecting to xbox live problems

Go to this page and download the file manually. You can then burn it to disk or transfer from USB.

Is your xbox modded? if it is then you must update your customer firmware then finish the update loop.

If its not then go to xbox.com/support and download the latest update files and use a USB to finish the update

The easiest way to update it would be to just connect the console to the internet, which wouldn't require Xbox live. Once the console is connected you should be prompted to update.

Try this, go to xbox.com and download the update. Put it on a flash drive or burn it to a cd. Place it into the xbox and see if that installs the update.

Xbox Live is having problems guys they are working on it and hope to have it fixed sometime this week the problem you guys are having is due to the xbox live being down. Although it isnt completely down they are having gameing issues as well as download issues and voicemail issues. If you want to find out more you can go to www.xboxlive.com and seach status to see if they have resolved the issue yet.
