Question about iLO (2 GB) MP3 Player

1 Answer

Ilo my ilo mp3 player with 2 gigs memory doesn't allow me to completely fill up its memory. I checked under "properties" and it indicates that i am only using 424 mb and have 1.48gb free space. When i attempt to load up more files(songs) my pc screen shows a cannot copy .....the directory or file cannot be created. Any body have any ideas on how to fix this? I already had to reformat it once due to another error and even then it sdoesn't allow for complete utilization of its memory. Appreciate any input thanks

Although it should be letting you download more than 424mb of files, there are only 2 things I can suggest:

  1. Try to open up the folder when you plug it into your computer. Search through the folders and see if there are files in there that may not be compatible with your mp3 player and therefore will not display.
  2. Check for duplicate files and that the size of the files is not misleading. I've had a problem where a certain song was displayed as being 2.56mb, I opened it on my computer before it was transfered and it was registered as 60mb because the track would continue to play for hours afterwards because of the file being inappropriately labeled at the ending point.
The fact that there is so much unused and unusable space on the mp3 is unusual, but you may have a problem also with your formatting. You DO have to leave some space in your mp3 player to leave room for the operation files of the mp3, so although it is labeled as having 2gb of space, you have to save at least a couple mb of space to let the system function. Hope this helps.

How to remove write protective in flash drive?

Im not really sure about whether you are talking about a memory card or another type of flash media since most portable storage under 32 gig nowadays use the flash technology but if its a memory card, eject it from the player and take a look around the edges, you should see a small slideable tab, slide it to the opposite direction of where it is now and try to copy stuff to it,Im sure it will work, Hope this works..

Write-protection flash memory

Connect the drive to your PC. Right-click->click properties->click security tab->"uncheck" the box next to write-protection. That should do the trick.
