When mousing over the text on a screen (especially in Control Panel), the text I moved my mouse over will start disappearing, then I lose parts of the text, and sometimes it actually pushes all the text over to the left or right like someone inserted an invisible horizontal page break or something. And it also will display strange WingDing like characters in it's place. This is intermittent. Also, every time I try to troubleshoot it, the Help & Support Screen goes blank on the left side and I can't even get text to click on to be able to troubleshoot! Any suggestions? Another problem? The Control Panel does not have access to the Display icon??? Any suggestions for this?
Try your monitor on a different computer and see if you get the same result, if not, there is a problem with your pc operating system and or video card. If you get the same result, get a new lcd if it is not under warranty.

try with restarting computer & press F8 at the same time. u will see
a menu where choose "safe mode" & start the computer. in safe mode
see the display properties, set the refresh rate & resolution
according to monitors specifications, apply & restart again. if that
does not work, replace the main board of lcd monitor.
Please check to make sure that the pins on both ends of the VGA cable are OK and seted properly on bothe ends.
There is no adjustment for color casting on the screen (redish, greenish, or bluish cast).
You may have problem in the monitor or the video card. http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Hate to tell you that replacing parts on a monitor would be very hard not only to find the parts but it would be very costly, I would recommend scrapping it and buy a 90$ refab off tiger direct or something, the only thing you can really fix on a monitor is perhaps a dead pixel, other than that its not worth it.
leos343872, Black screen type of failure. Is anything still displayed even though screen is black when you hold flashlight 1 inch from lower left corner near start button??? Possible "switch-mode-power-supply" in shutdown mode. Tech or you will need to evaluate further!! Read more of my advice to other owners with BLACK screen monitor problems in my profile. or louie12fix profile. 12fixlouie
My problem sounds equivelant: The problem is that it will power down after 15 minutes, then take 1/2 hour or more to power back up!I believe I have solved my problem with my X7G! I remember seeing a direction on the only direction papaer I got with it that told me to Turn off ALL POWER SAVING WINDOWS SETTINGS! I think the monitor is set to care for all the monitor/power saving itself. I am going to try it and will get back to you, or just try it yourselfs!
Yeah, there it... It's called a AD board. It that piece of component were you plugged your VGA or DVI cables to it. Panel scratchs repair kits, not recommended. Beside your panel could be already damaged by this problems you had. Replacing the AD board gonna cost you though...any where from $70.00 or more... My recommendation, just get a new one...saved you the headached and $$$.
Have a nice day!
