How are you able to enter premium problems

Hello, how are you able to enter premium problems?

The thing is you shouldn't even have expert tools on your profile page yet.

To be able to solve premium problems, you will need to:
* Be a registered Expert on FixYa.
* Earn the rank of Wiz or Guru.

You also need to have solved atleast 30 problems. and at this time you have only 13.

    it must be a problem with the website, this camera problem here

    thats actually a premium problem which you would get paid 5$ from if you solved it. but if you go on to unsolved problems page do you see expert tools?

    if you don't see your expert tools yet then the earnings wont be calculated untill you get the rank of a wizard or guru. thats when the expert tools should show up.

  • Ekse Jun 12, 2008

    so untill you get your expert tools there if you dont have them I would recommend you stay away from premiums it may be that you wont get paid for them. But when you get your expert tools your welcome to solve premiums, and you will get paid also :-)

    well mate you dont need much more solutions to get into premiums and start earning money! keep up the good work.

    It won't let me answer any premium problems at this time.. Is it possible that I answered it before the user clarified it as a premium problem?

Hello! I am one of many fixya expert s

Do you mean Brand badges which appear on the expert's "My Profile" page? (See attached image)

These brand badges are awarded automatically by FixYa when an expert answers a particular number (30 to 32) of free problems relating to a particular brand

For example: If an expert answers 32 free problems related to Nokia phones, then the Nokia badge will be awarded to that expert and it will appear on the "My Profile" page of that expert.

Hope this answers your query. For more help and clarifications, please feel free to reply to this post.

Just trying to setup yahoo as a home page again

Open Internet Explorer (or your web brower)

Go to Tools, Internet Options

In the first box, under the first tab, you'll see one or more websites listed.

Delete any you do not want as a homepage.

If you leave any, press enter at the end of the line, and type in

For each website that you want to set as a home page (for more than one), use a seperate line. type the basic website name as listed above, then click on okay at the bottom.

Close out Internet Explorer, (or your web browser) and then restart. Your home page (yahoo) will load as the home page; in addition to any others you listed.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

I can't open games on Pogo. I checked for popups and that is ok

My little daughter had the same problem with Pogo games, I solved the problem.

In premium question page I answered your question. But some error happened on the page then I missed your link there.

I think now another expert may answer you.

But if you can't solve your problem you can send me your comments in the Premium page.

Good luck Norma.

Do i have to pay to ask my question

Hi stwrtsmtty2,

You do not have to pay to ask a question on FixYa unless you want to purchase Premium Assistance (fast answers from our top Experts) or Live Chat (immediate interaction with one of our top Experts).

If you just want to post a question in our free forum, go ahead and enter your question in the box on our homepage, then click "Ask Now".

On the next page you will enter the subject of your problem and select the relevant product. Then click "Post Problem".

On the page after that, you can either select a Premium Service, or you can click "No Thanks" to post your problem for free.

Best wishes and thanks for using FixYa!

Denon AVR 2106 is repaired

Hi Dave,
it costed some time, but I found the premium

The original premium was dated Nov 27, the solution was assigned by default, before you even started to complain.

I am writng to L. to ask if there is a way to transfer the premium, singe getting a Fixya in there wont give you the reward , as premium had been assigned by default.

The thing will take more than one day, probably one week or so.

I hope it is clear that I am doing this because I think you are a good expert, and I agree you solved user's problem.
this is not standard procedure, and complaining in the lounge does not entitle anybody to any premium or make you better than others.

Also experts should not tell any user to ask refund or that other experts here are not competent.

I hope they can give you the premium, I saw you spent a lot of time on this user, and he really loves your assistance.

I already paid my money then got disconnected how do i sign in

Our apologies for any inconvenience. A couple of suggestions, pls:
  • email, since they are tasked with concerns of this nature;
  • try to recall the name of the expert who responded to your chat, if you could go to his Profile page, then you can click on his "Ask Me" and continue the problem solving there.
Additionally, I have called the attention of a few of the other experts in your two (2) problems posted here and here.

Initially, a couple of ideas to consider:
  • clogged/dirty evaporator;
  • expansion valve issue;
  • fan issue;
  • low refrigerant;
  • block tubes
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
