Re: Unable to download mix max software!
The software will most likely not install on Vista and if it does it will probably fail to run correctly. However the software isn't necessary to be able to put music on the player. Just start Windows Media Player and go to the Sync screen. You'll see the Sync button in the top right. You'll see that it splits WMP into two fields, on the right is the sync list and on the left is the library of songs. All you have to do is drag the songs you want from the library on the left to the sync list on the right where it says "Drag items here to create a list to sync" and then click start sync. It will then begin copying the songs to the player.

Tips & Warnings
If you converted files using the Mix It Plug-In, you will need to use Windows Media Player 10 to sync them to the player.
Convert files to WMV so they work with your MixMax you can download the Magic DVDRipper found at www.magicdvdripper.com. You can run the trial 5 times so I suggest before shutting out the program to do all the movies you can. When you do it, under the output folder click on Profile and click more profiles. There will be a Disney MixMax option choose that one, rename your title and pick your destination folder and then click start it will do the rest. When finished just copy and past the movie to either your player or to a SD card.Good Luck, I hope this helped. Please rate me, Thank you.
You don't need the disk that came with the Mix Max. It's just a plug in that interfaces with Windows Media Player and it completely optional. Without the software you can still use the Sync function in Windows Media Player to synchronize songs to the player.
I have Windows Vista and the first time I plugged in the Mix Max it immediately downloaded the device drivers. I opened my Windows Media Player and it already recognized the player. I just transferred songs over walla they are on the player. Hope that helps.
The software won't install but you don't need it in order to use it. It's a plug in that interfaces with Windows Media Player. Since Vista comes with Windows Media Player 11 you can just go to the sync page to add songs to the player.
