SOURCE: Ge profile side By side ice maker water leak
This sounds like the float mechanism has gone bad. Remove it and have a look. It may be the float or the switch on it that is bad. There is also a solenoid valve. Parts kits are available. Shut off the water first!
SOURCE: leaking water line
should have a small metel clamp there if not you can get a small clamp about any where and the fill tube being partialy frozen can be an issue the easiest way ive found to deal with this is to get a eureka 301 hand held enviro steamer its a little investment but there are about 1000 outher uses for it around the house and it wont hurt the fridge just let it heat stick the tip in the in the ice maker fill tube where the water line goes and pull the trigger till steam comes out the other end bingo does windows sinks stoves etc.thaws evaprators clears frozen drains seal door gaskets without melting them getting this master tech http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Eureka-350-Hot-Shot-Enviro-Steamer/371207/product.html?fp=F&kid=4087&cid=52417
SOURCE: water leak where hose meets refrigerator connector
I had a similar problem several years ago with water leaking on the floor at behind the fridge. Turned out to be the gasket at a connection the same size as a garden hose at the water valve, so I used a garden hose washer and that did the trick. That was on a Whirlpool vintage about 1990. Can't say what the model was.
SOURCE: Ice Maker leaking water in freezer and won't stop making ice
The filter should be before the fridge and should not affect it it sounds like the water valve from the fridge is defective .Other possibility is the icemaker head is defective and needs changing.
SOURCE: how do i turn off the ice maker on a ge profile.
You can lift the lever in the ice hopper to turn off the unit, or simply unplug the electrical connection to the ice maker inside the fridge. If your leak is in the line between the house supply line and the valve on the icemaker, turning it off will not solve your troubles. If that is the case, you can turn off the supply line valve.
