Cambridge Soundworks DTT2500 Problem

I have a Cambridge Soundworks DTT2500 which my husband's been using and now it has an issue... with the volume turned at the lowest setting there is nothing but loud volume and also high pitched feedback coming from the unit and out thru the speakers, the unit inside is clean (free) of any dirt so I'm not sure what could be the issue, or more important, how to have it fixed if I take it to a professional what should I have them do to this unit?

Cambridge SoundWorks 765i does not turn on. The light on the power supply is on.

You have a power supply issue and that explains the dead silence. You might want to check the PS area for swollen or leaky caps, a common source of trouble.. Or a broken solid state device. Otherwise .................................Shopping?

Lost Speaker Sound

It does sound like a connector issue, don't you think?

What happens if you DON"T touch the connector but move the volume control on the controller?

Have you tried looking outward toward the source?

I can't find a manual for this but my guess would be there is a setting for the Display to dim it at all times unless you touch a control.

Well, easy task, just put a music CD, on system and if you got an headphones, put in the green connector on your sound card, pop up the PC volume, and see if you heard sound, if you do, heard sound then the problem is your speakers. if don't is your sound card.

Fluctuation in sound output on Cambridge Soundworks 5.1 speakers

Hi Paulus
A lot brand of speakers, like Sound Blasters, Logitech, Cambridge, has this (strange) kind of volume problem, sometimes, is the resistor, in the volume control, sometimes in the modulator for the board on the sound speakers, Subwofer.
I use a general tip is let the volume in one setting and don't move in the intermediate low volume say....9 .
from other thing, be change the speakers.
