Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

Blank screen? my screen is black, i can hear calls and text messages, but i can't see anything...help would be very much appreciated!

    I have this exact problem? How do I get my phone #'s out of the phone database, when I did not save it to my sim card and now I can not see the display to save it to the sim card.

    I don't know my screen doesn't even turn on...everything else works fine just the screen, blacked out...i have the motorola razor V3-miami ink dragon tattoo...I REALLY APPRECIATE THE RAPID RESPONSE! VET!

    1. Everything on my phone works just fine. You are correct, no time display, no status bar and no wallpaper. Completely blank from top to bottom. No images what so ever. Blackout.

    Yes I took it to a Tmobile store and they were of no help, they insisted that I just get a new phone or pay my deductible and have the phone replaced. This happened once before where the screen completely blackedout. I left it alone for a while and the screen reappeared This is the second time but the screen has stayed black for the past 3 days. Then when I tried trouble shooting the problem myself like pressing the * and the # buttons together the screen flickered then blackedout again. I'm going on the 4th day now, I'm just waiting for my new phone that I ended up purchasing, I wanted to see if this one could be spared as a back-up.

    Im have the same problem with my motorola razr v3t phone. I can still recieve calls and text messages but i can see the inside screen of the outside screen its jus pitch black

Hello all,

jhunter: have you lost your wallpapers? and what particular version of the V3 do you have?

Guest: the only way to possibly get your phone entires that you didn't save to your simm card and can't see your screen to upload them via an app or drill down to save them to your simm card, would be to take your phone to a phone store your service provider operates. They have the tools to dock your phone and access the entries. They should be able to replace your phone under your insurance plan unless they deem it to be a manufacturer's fault.

    May I please understand this correctly. Everything about your phone works just fine, the screen is just blank. Do you see the time on the front, the upper and bottom stataus bars, just not your wallpaper? Or is the front and inside display blank from top to bottom?

    I came across some information online that stated the Miami Ink version was sold by T-mobile.

    Did you buy through them and take it to an ATT or Verizon store?

    Well I doubt it will be reliable if it comes back on. The problem sounds like it is in the power circuit internally that powers the screen section itself.

    Since this can't be fixed by me or any other tech I would appreciate a fixed solution rather than any rating at all, as I've spent all this time on your phone and a rating such as fixed when a product need warranty or service and can't be fixed via tech support means a lot to those of us who work in the free area and not just the Premium Pay portion of the web site.

first you should restart your phone.if you still have same problem means there must be fault in display screen.you should change the display screen of your mobile.but make sure that you should go to your company service.because there are local salesmen they will change old displays .just change the display screen of your mobile

sir is it blinks with white screen only or blinks with white screen then shut down?
-if the phone can receive/send text and mms messages while the incoming and outgoing calls become shut down,i think you need to replace the battery because it is weak.use only original battery.
-and if it is blink with white screen only try to reset all settings or reformat your phone,if not work hardware problem go to repair shop.

LG Envy inside screen no longer works, did not drop or get wet, was using it fine then all of a sudden I opened it to text only to find a black screen, buttons still light up, but no display!


there is a small very delicate ribbon cable that connects the screen to the circuit board that has probally broken. it is a common problem on phones that flip like yours does.

Broken screen and text messages


I broke my screen too and this is what i did to read them:

my friend has the same menu as me (both verizon users) and so held his phone in one hand and my broken on in the other. then what ever i did on his phone i did with my phone.

I basically went into my inbox (blindly basically) and individually forwarded the messages to his phone...after i read them, i replied in the same manner using my phone.

Its kind of alot of work, its worth it and it gets the job done...I could read my texts!
