Its a problem with the printer and not the s\w.....

u can..

check if any particles have fallen inside the printer...
Try to move the cartridge carries manuelly....move the roller...
Turn the printer up side down and shake it well but be carefull cos it has a scanner glass....

And also try...

U wud find a small transperent strip of width 1\4 inch...which runs all the way across behind the cartridge carrier....

Gently whip the strip with a cloth....(BE CARE FULL ...IF THE STRIP BREAKS OR GETS OOUT OF PLACE THEN UR PRINTER HAS TO BE REPLACED)

If still same problem then ....ur printer has to be replaced and if it is under warranty the lexmark might replace it for u

I have a brand new ink cartridge in my printer. It printed the test page ok. When I try to print envelopes, it always says paper jam (there is no paper jam) the envelopes just wont feed. It's a Lexmark...

Make sure to set the correct paper setting on the printer or the Lexmark software before sending the print job. Adjust the printer's paper guide to the correct envelope dimension.

When printing the paper is not drawn down straight - pulls to one side - and then becomes jammed. This has happened over and over. Is there a wheel or something of track - can I fix this myself. Thanks...

There could be something that's blocking the paper feed system. Leading cause of paper jams is debris/foreign objects that accidentally fell into the paper feed area.

1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder.

2. Grab a flashlight and look inside for any debris.

3. If you're willing and physically able, you may also turn the printer over. Any debris should just freely roll out from the feeder.

4. If feeder is clear, place the printer back on the table, open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.

5. Check the cartridge area for any obstructions/debris that could cause this error or problem.

6. If cartridge area is clear, close the cover.

7. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power outlet to reset it.

8. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and load some paper. Try to print again.

My lexmark x5495 keeps telling me that the paper is jammed, this happens regular and even when cleared it keeps on telling me..

Disconnect, turn upside down and shake. It works. This was told to me from lexmark and I am now printing with no problems.

LEXMARK PRINTER WONT PRINT

Hi,

Lexmark printers usually won't work with cartridges other than lexmark's. You should use genuine lexmark cartridges, otherwise you may experience problems.

Lexmark X5495 Feeds paper in part of the way

I own this printer, it has to do with how you load the paper, it's very touchy, just keep readjusting the paper and you will get it right, you don't want the paper to far into the printer, or you will get a paper jam error, but if it's not in far enough it will sound like it's printing but not feeding the paper. Hope this helps, Julia
