The first thing that you should do is check the
manufacturer's Web site for the drivers and everything that you need should be found.
ALWAYS check the
manufacturer's Web site (using the model #) when in need of drivers, whether software or hardware.
The manufacturer of your
PM266A Pro board is
Albatron. You should find drivers for that board
HERE. I don't know what operating system you're using (Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Linux, etc) but, if you're using Windows XP (with at least Service Pack 1) or Windows 2000 (with at least Service Pack 4) then you
WILL NOT NEED TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE USB DRIVERS.
I inserted a link directly to the page on Albatron's site where these drivers are located. If you click on the word
HERE in this paragraph or the one above, it will take you to the page.
This is not a brand new board so, if I were you, I would also take a look at the BIOS updates for this board. Albatron has several updates listed for download. Updating the system BIOS is important because it can prevent you from having pesky little issues with your system and also allows you to add/enable certain features/hardware on the board. It's pretty much just upgrading the board. Compare your version to those versions they have listed in the available updates. The best thing to do would be to download and install the latest BIOS update. Follow this link for
BIOS updates.
Everything that you need to know about your board should be on
Albatron's Web site. I hope this helps you now and in the future event that you need to find drivers.
Thanks for using Fixya!
