By pressing the collar on the blue (or possibly grey) plastic union connector towards the center of the connector while gently pulling the water line out of the connector

Water not coming from gss25lgmb bb

I have a GSH25JSRFSS GE refrigerator. Twice, the water line has frozen near the dispenser. Each time I used a hairdryer to heat either the side of the door where the water line runs and blew hot air up the dispenser. This last time, I took the plastic cover off the outside of the door (it clips on) and blew hot air into the small holes in the door that the outside grate clips into. This allows the hot air to get inside the door, and I heard ice from the frozen line drop. Subsequently, the water line worked. Two points: I did have water running to the line in the bottom of the refrigerator, so I knew it was an ice clog, and secondly, I took care not to blow hot air on the exposed wires inside the door.GKAZ

I have a GE side by side refridgerator Model GSH25JSRFSS and I have ice coming through the door but the water stopped coming through the door. Any suggestions?

here is a quick way to tell...remove the kickplate and under the freezer door you'll see the water hose coming out the door and going behind the kickplate...there will be a quick disconnect coupling that you can release one section of this and with the freezer door closed..Have someone push the water and see if comes out..if it does..the water hose in the door is tube into coupling...if it does not come out being disconnected, then you most likely need a new water inlet remove tubing at coupling if its not a screw on the tube going into the coupling there will be a plastic ring that is loose..push this into body of coupling while pulling out tubing.

I had the same problem. My fix was to disconnect the tube as it enters at the bottom of the freezer door and allow room tempurature( to warm the inside of the tube) and melt the ice in the tube. It took about an hour or so and it worked.
