How to wire a audio mixer deck to a radio tranceiver

I'm not sure if you want it wired to the input or output. You can connect the output of the transceiver(if it accepts an earphone plug) to the the input of the mixer using plugs you can buy form Radio Shack or MCM electronics on line.

Hi would you have a circuit diagram for a microphone for a smx4150 mobile 2 way radio?

It's 3 wires, very simple, Ground, Key and Mic Element. Short 2 until u hear the xmit go on, then touch any to the case, that is the "key" the other is the ground.

The remaining one is the mic relative to ground and u can draw u'r own schematic.... Best regards.... MarSay Group

My cobra hh-36st cb radio is stuck in TX mode. The RX/TX light is red each time it is truned on. Removing and replacing the batteries has not worked.

G'day,
I think your problem with the Cobra cb is in the microphone, you should have a plug on the Mic cord end ,try disconnecting this from the CB unit and see if it clears it self. If this does the trick your problem is in the Mic it self, or the cord has a fault in it. However if you still have a problem it may be that the transmitt/ receive relay located in the Cb is stuck on transmitt, sometimes this can be cleared by tapping the case with the handle of a screw driver, place towel on the case first to stop any damage to the case( this doe's not always work) you may in this case need to have it serviced
all the best hope I have been of help,
John

I dont know what kind of radio i have

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, a CES- 600L is a DTMF encoder microphone with lighted keyboard. For your need:
  • almost always, the simplest requirement would be a 600 ohm mic and a PTT switch;
  • minimum of 3 wires are needed for a 2-way radio microphone to work;
  • 1-mic audio;
  • 2-PTT switch (must go to ground when PTT pressed to TX);
  • 3-common/GND;
  • in some, 4-RX audio (not needed if radio receives with no mic).
Having said the above, then any replacement microphone with appropriate microphone plug/jack could be wired to match the GE. A generic example is shown below.

Pls post back result(s). Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

Need new mic for Raymarine #1VHF Radio 215 DSC

Hello rikirsch,

For replacement microphones for the Ray 215 DSC you can contact the manufacturer via their website http://www.raymarine.com. It appears there are two different versions available, a traditional style handheld microphone and a multi-function handset style mic.

Hope this helps!

Walky talky

A walkie talky as we called them, back when we were younger - and hell we probably still do in some respects, hence the fact my friend still refers to her cordless phone as a "walkie talky" and the principals haven't changed that much.

The common old Walkie Talky or CB radio use what we call a half duplex, that means only one person can talk at a time. We are talking and listening on the same channel.

Cell phones are full duplex, meaning two way conversation, and this is simply listening on one channel whilst talking on another, so the basic principal is basically the same, just a little more sophisticated.

Walkie-talkie typically has one channel
CB radio has 40 channels.
Cell phone
can communicate on 1,664 channels or more!

I have included a link to a circuit diagram.

There is also two links below, building the transmitter & receiver.

Trust this helps, and please take the time to rate the answer given, thank you.
