You will have to be more specific such as model number and what the problem is. if you dont respond to origional posts I have no way to determine who you are as i have literally a couple thousand people that I am responding too. Please let me know the model and what you were needing. thanks

Heard a loud pop noise on Toshiba TP48D90 tv.Now no sound

Its not worth it. the parts cost alone will exceed the value of the Tv. you can buy a new 50" TV for $500 or less. Time to put it out to pasture.

You really need to look to see if the color wheel cables are connected or not.

I have a KDF 42WE655..while watching tv, I heard a popping sound.

If the lamp is blowing that soon, the cooling fan is not working, or is plugged with dust. I have heard some people have a filter that needs changing or cleaning. Check your manual. The cooling fan is on the optical block and not easy to get to.
Probably a job for a tech.

If it is it will be the first I've heard of one shattering... The CW spins at 7200 rpms and at that speed anything is possible. What color is the glass?? Clear and it's not the CW.. My bet is on the lamp. Does the lamp fire up?? You need to do a bit of investigating and let me know and I'll try and help..
Good Luck!

I suggest you sit down for this one! Even a small amount of any liquid on set's internals can reak havoc. What you smelled were components shorting out and possibly burning. Depending on where the water spilled, you may have just one PC board fried, but many circuits are interconnected, which means possible cascade damage to others. Never place plants anything containing liquid on electronic equipment.

Samsung HDTV 1080i blue congernce/loud pop

One of the Convergence IC's most likely shorted and that is the pop you heard. Is best to replace both and check micro fuses supplying + & - dc voltage to the chips. Also check the resistors in front of the IC's as they discolor or burn & change value.
