Cant get online through firefox or internet explorer explorer. box tells me i have router problems. tried usual reset procedure, got connected and then failed. Three attempts, same result. Comcast tells me I probably need updated firmware from Linksys.

Ya linksys sucks because it has a hardware firewall. Go on to that and disable the hardware firewall. You can type 192.168.1.1 into the internet address bar.

Make sure you have a software firewall such as avg which is a great free one.

Please try the following:

A. Reset the browser:
Launch Internet explorer
Click Tools
Click Internet Options.
Under the general tab, please delete cookies.
After that click the Advanced tab.
Under Reset Internet Explorer settings, click Reset. Then click Reset again.
When Internet Explorer finishes resetting the settings, click Close in the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box.
Start Internet Explorer again.
B. Please try to login to your account using mozilla firefox. Please click start, all programs and check if you have mozilla firfox or not.
If not, please download and install it as under:

My Toshiba r15-s822 isn't connecting to a wireless network and the router I already installed the router to my pc even connected an internet cable to it but Internet Explorer wont open it keeps...


Try connecting to the Internet through the ethernet port (via a cable). If Internet Explorer loads the target page then you have a configuration problem with WI-Fi access : The wireless security settings are not allowing the computer to access the Internet.
If Internet Explorer does not connect with the cable then the problem resides with Internet Explorer. Try to reset the defaults. To confirm that download FireFox and use it. Besides you need two browsers just in case one acts up.

Today I can't access Yahoo at all, why?


Hi. If you cannot access Yahoo but can access other websites, what I can suggest for you to do is to reset your browser settings. Here are the instructions depending on you browser on how to reset settings.

INTERNET EXPLORER Version 7 & 8:
Click TOOLS > Internet Options > Go to Advanced Tab > Click RESET button > Reset > Wait for it to finish loading, then it's going to ask you to restart your browser. Just close out all the Internet Explorer Browser that you have open. Open a new Internet Explorer then try accessing Yahoo again.

INTERNET EXPLORER Version 9
Click the gear icon on the upper right part of the internet explorer window > Internet Options > Go to Advanced Tab > Click RESET button > Reset > Wait for it to finish loading, then it's going to ask you to restart your browser. Just close out all the Internet Explorer Browser that you have open. Open a new Internet Explorer then try accessing Yahoo again.

MOZILLA FIREFOX Version 3.0 & 3.6
Click on TOOLS > Clear Recent History > On the dropdown box, choose EVERYTHING. > Clear now > Wait for it to finish loading, then it's going to ask you to restart your browser. Just close out all the Mozilla Firefox Browser that you have open. Open a new one then try accessing Yahoo again.

MOZILLA FIREFOX 4.0
Click on FIREFOX on the upper left part of the mozilla firefox window > HISTORY > On the dropdown box, choose EVERYTHING >Click Clear now > Wait for it to finish loading, then it's going to ask you to restart your browser. Just close out all the Mozilla Firefox Browser that you have open. Open a new one then try accessing Yahoo again.

If you cannot connect other websites besides Yahoo, contact your internet provider.

User firefox and uninstall internet explorer and Microsoft will let you download and install...If you are getting redirected clear all cache and history in the tools on the internet explorer and firefox also reset your router hold reset button in for 15 sec then start

My netflix online says Whoops, you need to enable cookies on your web browser. They gave me instructions for our Internet Explorer and it still did not work. I also called Netflix and they said contact...


Just fixed this problem for a friend.

Open Internet Explorer, go to the netflix site, click on Tools, Internet options, Security, click on the green Checkmark (Trusted Sites), click sites, then uncheck the box below for require server verification (HTTPS), then click add, this should add www.netflix.com in the box below. Click close, then refresh and Netflxi should work for you at that point.

Bought new Motorola modem, called AT&T and configured it. How do I configure Netgear router.


Please perform the below steps to reset and reconfigure your NETGEAR router:

RESET THE ROUTER :

1. At the rear panel of the router, near the antenna, there is a very small round pinhole that contains the reset button.
2. Using a pen/pencil/paper clip, hold the reset button for 60 sec. so that the test light starts flashing.
3. After few seconds when the test light stops flashing Power cycle the unit.


RECONFIGURE THE ROUTER:

1. Please remove all the connections from the router. Connect power to the router and then connect a cable from the computer into any of the 4 lan ports on the router. Make sure the modem should not be connected to the router or to the computer.
2. Open up the Internet Browser (Safari, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, etc.).
3. Access the router, usually by typing 'http://192.168.1.1' or 'http://www.routerlogin.com' in the address bar.
4. On the basic setting page scroll to the bottom and click on Apply.
5.Login to the router (Username = admin Password = Password)
6. Click on lan ip setup under advance.
7. Change the lan ip to 192.168.10.1 and under use router as a dhcp server change the starting ip as 192.168.10.2 and ending ip as 192.168.10.51, click apply and click ok for any popup message that arise.
8. Once the browser display some error message like CANNOT FIND SERVER, ACTION CANCELLED etc, Connect the dsl modem on the wan port of the router and restart the computer.
9. Power off the dsl modem and the router after making the connections.
10. Power on the dsl modem and wait till the dsl light comes on, then power on the router.
11. Open a web browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Safari).
12. Access the router (http://192.168.10.1).
13. Login to the router (Username = admin Password = Password).
14. Click on Setup Wizard and then select "Yes" and Click "Next" on the detection window.
15. It should give you a "Dynamic IP Detected" or "pppoe detected"(type the Username & Password of your dsl account in case of pppoe detection) and then click next.
16. click Apply.

Check if you can go online with this connection. Once online on the computer through the router. Perform the following tasks to configure the wireless connection:

On the router settings page

1. Click on wireless settings from the left menu.
2. Change the network name SSID to some other name like NETGEAR123
3. Select security options as WPA-PSK. Enter a Password in the passphrase box. Apply the settings.

First off, In firefox, go to tools > clear private data, and try again. If that doesn't work, ensure you have flash player installed you can tell this if you can see the video playing. But looking at your error, it should be a flash player problem.

If that doesn't work then try unplugging and replugging your modem (dialup/adsl/cable/satellite or whatever you have) and (if applicable) your router. Reboot your computer, and try again.

WHATS THE MODEL OF THE NETGEAR ROUTER? you have to have the router address and access the router through internet explorer or firefox. once logged into the router page online then you can change or access the security tab copy or remove the WEP KEY THEN TRY TO ACCESS THE INTERNET WITH THE KEY OR WITHOUT THE KEY YOU DECIDE WHICH WAY TO GO
