The 25 pint Frigidaire dehumidifer has stopped running and continues to show the "full flashing red light" even when it isn't, and will not stay on. Any solutions? Thanks Kirk J.

Kirk, the problem you're experiencing is generally caused by 2 reasons. The bucket was not reinstalled properly or the float valve in the top of the tank is either broken or stuck in the UP position.

First turn the unit OFF & unplug it. Then remove the bucket and check the float valve in the top of the bucket. Jiggle the float valve's arm to make sure it moves freely and that it is in the DOWN position. If it's not broken, reinstall the bucket making sure that it fits "squarely" from top to bottom and is making contact with the bucket safety removal switch on the rear wall of the bucket holder. When installed properly, the bottom of the bucket should not tilt down at all.

If the float valve is broken, you can purchase new one from Frigidaire.

I hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

I have the amana ap148d and so far today i have had to drain it 3 times this is rediculous. it is not on the dehumidify mode so what is the problem

Dehumidifing is a produce of air conditioning, I would be thinking of a way to drain the tank with a drain hose so it will run continues. The water should slow down if your house is tight, but will still be contunue to make condensate.

How do i drain water

According to the manufacture this unit never needs draining it vaporizes the liguid.
If it were to have a water tank it would be in the bottom of the unit and you can see the level in the tank, on models that have a tank they simply pull out and remove to be drained.
