That will work for a type A processor removal depends on how your particular processor is hooked up to the mother board.

Changeing a cpu is a simple process.

First step, remove the cables and open the case.
locate the cpu - heatsink

it debends on what kind of heatsink it has, simply turn the lever
or use a screwdriver to unhook the metal connector. If you don't have enought room you might need to remove the powersupply first.

handle the cpu with care, ones the heatsink is removed you can
pull up the lever next to the cpu to unlock it

now you can remove the cpu with your fingers by the edges.

place it in a safe location, and go ahead install the new cpu.
optionally apply some thermalpaste and attach the heatsink
and the power connector for the heatsink fan.

you are done.

Your motherboard has a front side bus speed support up to 400mhz.

You need to find out the model number on the chipset

    look here

    http://support.intel.com/support/motherb...

scroll down to 845 Chipset Based Desktop Boards

ones you have found your chipset click on the link and on the new page click on Compatibility and then on Supported processors.

then you get a list of supported processors like this one
    http://support.intel.com/support/motherb...

faster processors may work if you get lucky after a bios upgrade but thats not very likely.

the performance increase is very small by the way, maybe you should upgrade your motherboard and move to a Core 2 duo system.

Let me know, what drivers you are missing after this install.

SOLTEK has gone bankrupt.
Their web-site is "down".
So, there is *NO* "support" available from SOLTEK.
