Drainage Hi, I have the portable Maytag AC unit mentioned in this forum. I have had it for two years, and I still haven't figured out how to address this problem. The unit just shuts off. The only way to resolve this is to tip the back so water can come out of that small black tube. I assume there is a better way because it only stays on for a short while, then it turns off again and I must repeat the procedure. My friend has rigged it up so that the tube is pushed down into a bucket, and it drains now, but this seems wrong. Does anyone have a clue what I am talking about, and if so, can you help me? Also, do you know how to get a replacement remote? Thank you!! Diana

My LG portable ac unit spits water into the room why

Check for proper condensate drainage. Make sure the drain pan and drain tube isn't clogged with debris and check for mold inside the unit. Check that the blower wheel is clean as well.

Portable ac Danby Premiere DPA110CB5BP spitting water while it fans.

If you are referring to the unit doing this on the outside of the structure, this is normal. the "Hamster Wheel" is designed to carry a small amount of water and create a light amount of water to go onto the condenser to help with the evaporation and cooling process. If this is on the inside of the structure, the unit may not be level or another issue causing improper drainage.

WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF A MANUAL IS AVAILABLE ONLINE. TO DETERMINE HOW TO USE OTHER FUNCTIONS THAN AIR COOLING.

I'm sure you can find an Owner's Manual for your unit, if you do a Google search for Maytag M6P09S2B Portable AC Owner's Manual. Most will be free downloads, some you may have to pay for. n addition, the Maytag AC Units were made by Fedders/Airwell under the model # AZ6P09S2A. So, if you can't find it under Maytag, search for the Fedders model number.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

I have only had the washer for a year but have a 2 year extended warranty after doing a wash and pulling it away from the sink I noticed a blob of thick grease on the floor I called a repairman to come...

Hi Woody498 from retired Englishman in SW France,

You have done exactly the right thing but it sounds to me as if you are making a complaint to us at FixYa (or just passing on your experience) ?

I hope I haven't got it wrong and please do not take this the wrong way but you may be under the impression that you have somehow emailed 'Kenmore' to pass a comment whereas it is actually to a washing machine general forum. The FixYa forum is just made up of ordinary guys and gals, probably at home and from all over the world, with experience of addressing problems and giving guidance for free on the web ;-0)
Also members on Fixya are not 'affiliated' to, or representative of, any manufacturer at all, just using their experience gained probably over many years.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Need my users manual

Here is a link to a 12,000 BTU, Danby Portable AC Unit. Since you failed to mention the model number of the unit you have, I can only guess that is the same as yours. In any event, all Danby Portable AC units work the same. You can download and print this manual for future reference.

I hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.
