It sounds like you're using the internal synthesizer for MOH. There is a different tune, but it isn't very good either. You need to change the setting for MOH to "Tone" or we can provide a much better MOH source that you plug into the system.

Our music does not require any license fees (copyright license stuff). Alternatively, XM Radio has a program for businesses for less than $28 per month.

We have a support package that allows us to make all the changes you need over the Internet for a flat annual fee. If you want your whole system to work properly and all changes to be made for you at a flat budget, call us at 877-236-8376.

KX-T7730 phone is not changing the hold music although i have plugged in the mp3 player in the outside box, and tried to program it by doing the following: program > *#1234 > 104 > speaker phone...

If you're reading the programming instructions in order, keep going :-) I have no clue what SLT hold mode has to do with music on hold or background music, but when you get to 111-BGM-Music On Hold source, you can set it to external and you're in business.

The hold music on our Panasonic KX-DT333 does not suit our business Requirements how do we switch off or change.

Depends. If it's the "circus" music, then you need to add a music source at the cabinet and some programming is required. If you already have a music source, it can be changed. We us a promotions on hold company or the "canned" music from Intellihold.

We are using panasonic KX-T7633phones wherin we are getting complaints as whenever the rep put the customer on hold it plays an awful music on hold and our IT support says that this is notpossible to...

The TDA cabinet has at least 2 jacks, labelled EPG and MOH. Guess what MOH means :-)

I don't know about cost effective, but you can get an MP3 player or use a spare PC to stream MOH music to your phone system at prices starting as little as $29.

http://www.onholdstore.com/onholdsystems.html lists players that sell for $140-200, and the Software tab gets you Message Studio to make your own MOH productions. It includes free music and voices.

Outside of that, use the keywords MUSIC ON HOLD and you will see tons of prices and alternatives.

How to change the hold music on the panasonic kx

Back in a closet or electrical room, there's a back and blue cabinet with all the wires coming into it. That's the phone system cabinet. Your Music is plugged into a port labeled MOH.

When you get to that, it will be some sort of MOH player. Post back when you find it. If it's an On-hold product, there's a software program to change it.

If you truly have music, it comes from a box plugged into the cabinet. The unit could be made by several manufacturers, or could be a CD player. If the talent is music with alternating male and female voices saying "thank you for holding we appreciate your business", etc. then it's probably an OHP-6000 that comes with Message software. http://www.onholdstore.com/software.html

If you have "tones" on hold, then you need to acquire a music on hold box and make a couple of programming changes to set it up. MOH boxes and messages can be found by search engine. The keywords on hold music will get you 19 million hits.

Change background music when hold button is pushed

There are two internal "tunes" that nobody likes. You can also set it to "tone," but that usually makes people think they have a call waiting - and they hang up on you!

We do offer license free music that you can plug into the phone, or you can subscribe to XM Radio (commercial) for less than $28 per month.

The settings need to be changed by a certified dealer.

Hold music

I'm not sure what you currently have for music on hold but regardless this is a feature of the phone system, not the phone. You may have a built in tune or tone, or you could have an external music source connected to the phone system. First you need to know which type of Panasonic phone system you have and where it is located. The system part number should start with "KX-T" and unfortunately, knowing the part number of your phone does not help.

Your system will have an input for music. You may have something attached already and so that would need to be changed to what you want. OR you may be using a built-in internal tune. Usually connecting an external source will over-ride any internal music automatically but it may need to be changed in programming. If you connect a new external music system, you can use just about any music device with the right cable. Just make sure it is line-level input (low volume - not amplified) or you can break the music circuit.
