I don't get that message, my computer just doesn't recognize the mouse at all. I thought that maybe the X afrter the model number is for a MAC?

I have the same issue. Upon opening up the receiver I found that all but one of the four wires are broken between the USB and the receiver body, right where the two pivot. I am looking now to see if I can fix it.

I have the same problem, for the first several months my mouse and receiver (model #: AMW05USX) both worked fine. But now, nothing. I replaced the battery in the mouse and the light shines a bright red, but still nothing.

The mouse/ scroll thing on my BlackBerry Curve is continuously moving upward. I try to go into messages and chats and i cant view them because the mouse keeps moving up to old messages in the chat. Can...

This is most likely caused by dirt.
There are a few steps to solve this and i am in no way liable if you break your phone. Things you should take note of before getting started.
  • Remove the battery.
  • unplug the phone from everything
  • remove any sdcard or other expansions
  • i would squeeze the excess alcohal from any q-tips prior to using.
  1. pry the trim ring off it has four clips dont push too hard or you'll break it. a small dental flosser works great.forested665_0.jpg
  2. Put the phone face down in your hand and the ball assembly will come out.forested665_1.jpg
  3. soak the assembly in rubbing alcohal, periodically you should rotate the ball and then resoak to get the dirt out.
  4. Clean the gold thing with a q-tip and rubbing alcohal.forested665_2.jpg
  5. allow all alcohal to evaporate.
  6. reassemble

Literati ereader will not sync with PC via USB. PC recognizes the device.

Turn the reader off before you connect the usb cable to the computer for the first time. When you power the reader on it will then be recognized by the computer. If you added an SD card to the reader, the computer will also recognize it as a separate drive. The reader will ONLY recognize files you add to the SD card. The reader also has a great zoom function so you can easily read newspaper and magazine pdf files.

I upgraded the software to version 1.9 before doing all of the above (it may work with version 1.6 bu I just don't know).

I need info on wireless keyboard and mouse

How is a person suppose to know what the specs are saying on the wireless microsoft laser keyboards and mice? I read some of the specs and it says that the battery life is good for so much time. What does theis mean; are they rechargable or are they running off of AA batteries. I am trying to figure out which ones are battery operated only! I am also confused about the connectivity to the computer. I do not want one of the keyboards or mice that require a person to have something plugged into the USB with a cord coming from it. I want a wireless receiver only for connectivity. Please advice between the wireless keyboard 4000, 5000, 6000 and mice 5000, 6000, 7000, & 8000. I may not be purchasing these items in a package they most likely be purchased separately. I also need to know if theis will affect the number of usb hubs being used. Can be emailed at:

Pc doesnt see ipaq h6315

Turn off CPU, Unplug Power cable, And all usb devices, let it sit for about 20mins. Plug it all back in. Turn on the CPU! Also make sure if your device requires "DRIVERS" or if you have a CD download and install that before anything.

Pantech duo does not sync: computer does not recognize device

I have Windows Vista and the same problem. The link below (from an AT&T Forum), has someone suggesting the following:

"Did you try unchecking advanced network functionality, Start > Settings > Connection > USB to PC?".

I unchecked that box on the phone, and it worked!

Targus keyboard installation

The problem is most likely with the driver being for an older MIPS processor (like the one in the Casio E-100). Where did you obtain this keyboard. Targus did not really support the EM500 when the keyboard came out. Now, they don't at all. Email Targus or Stowaway for a new driver.
