hello guys, does anyone know how to block the washing machine? i have a samsung J845 in a shared laundry, but the machine is mine and i don't want to share it or let other people use it as they have other machines there to wash their clothes.

hi, thanks a lot...actually i was thinking of buying a new washing machine but this tip worked and it saved me atleast 250 pounds.

  • peteroctavia May 11, 2010

paid 30 quid to fix the problem 4e, which easily could be done by anyone. the fault is the tube to the pressure switch, take the top off the washing machine, and at the front you will find a white block attached by a screw to the top of the washing machine at the front this is attached to a plastic tube, which in my case had split, snip the end off, and attach back to the white block, this should now work. hope this has helped someone, as it would of helped me.

I had the exact same problem.Your fixya solution as above was excellant. And it saved me the call out fee and the repair cost. So that was ace. Thank you very much. Samsung must get to grips with this problem.

Wow - nice one it fully works! We got the wrong white box first though - then i checked the small one and the underside of the pipe had a split inso we snipped it off and it is now working a dream! Thanks so much for the tip - I can confirm it works!

Worked for me too. Took half an hour to fix, with a couple of screwdrivers, some scissors and a pair of pliers to grip the clamp. Easy! Just make sure you've unplugged the machine and turned the water off before you start moving it and opening it up.

This solution works!!! I am a women with no clue and managed to find the tube which is a bit tricky at first but it is on the front right side. The underside of the pipe had split and just needed cutting off. Thanks again so much for this great money saving tip.

4e on my samsung front load WF42H5000AW

A 4E code indicates your machine is not sensing that it is filling. The corrective action is to check that water supply is on and has adequate pressure, hoses are not kinked, and that filters on the inside end of the water valve are not clogged.

Your machine has a fault with the water level contoller switch - pressure switch that activates when water reaches the level set . So check the water level controller and test. If not the fault can be with the program controller unit.

4e code

I just checked the Samsung website - you can download the manuals if you've lost them (website below). Not sure what washing machine you have but a 4E on model J1043 (which is the machine I have) says to check the following:

i_1.gif Check the water pressure.

Hope this helps.

Samsung Washing machine fault

I have foud a solution 4E error for my Samsung WD7101CKW. Water that comes inside washer is splitted in splitter with valves. One of these valves has a red label on it - this is a valve with restrictor of flow inside. This restrictor is used to limit flow speed mainly for testing purposes of pressure/water level sensor. Because of that restrictor (red cap with two holes of 0,5 mm diameter) blocked flow too much, after some time washer controller thinks that water has too low pressure.
Unplug washer, disassemble hoses from valves, disassemble valves from the washer (screwdriver needed), drill both holes in red restrictor to 1 mm (use 1 mm drill or just big needle). Assemble in reverse. Will work :)
Greetings - Thomas
