HP Compaq FP5315 15" LCD Monitor dead

yeah replace the caps and sometimes the 7.5v zener diode burns up too. I have been replacing the surface mount ones with just a regular through diode

Hi there, looks like undersized radiators and to much heat on the board. i am technician amateur and when the monitor was dead means power button was flashing and tiny sound off ticking was hearable i opened it and found over heated place around zener diode and few capacitors were on top rounded like overheated bud non exploded. so i just went to shop and buy glass zener diode 7v5. Putted all back it was running for couple hours and blacked again... diode were blowed. so second time i connected wires from zener place and started putting few zeners in parallel and measured voltage. it gradually increase voltage and heat. when i measured current going through it appear similar. so i decided to replace capacitors who doesn't look healthy. C922, 925 both 16V 1000mF, and C924 926 929 930 932 16V 470mF. hard to get them in my small town so i putted there 25V 220mF two times. I'd say that more volts will have more resistance against heat. wanted put some small fan but i couldn't find any 12V source on board and haven't got any 230V small fan. so i just drill more holes on bottom of steal cover. hopefully it will increase convection around board. thats it. i connected it and power on zener diode drop down and keep still and doesn't over heating. didn't measure current. just putted together and next week going to see how long it will last at my office. Sorry for my english and amateurism but i am just trying to share my few hours job. good luck Vladimir23  one more thing be really careful there are hundreds of volts all around board under power!!!!

I have a HP Compaq Fp 5315 monitor.Green power light keeps blinking .Looking for someone to fix the power board(if it's the problem)I can take it out to send.
