-   red light but wen turned on the green light comes on then goes of back to red

-   my ps2's red light was on..but when I pushed the botton the green light never came on...and now the red light won't even come one...could the wire from the power switch to the unit itself be the issue/..cuz the tiny silver peices on the little wire are bent..and pull up everytime I try to hook up the wire -   Guest

Check to see if the outlet has power running to it. It may also be a blockage on the connectors as well such as a small piece of plastic. If none of these is the problem then you have a defective Playstation.
