FM Reception with Jensen MSR3007

I have the exact same problem with the exact same stereo. I started by removing the in-line AM/FM/VHF Separator and connecting the antenna directly to the stereo. The static/popping/fade-out continued. Today I swapped to a new antenna, but it did not help. I swapped back to the original antenna and for a brief while, I had good reception. The I went to coil the excess antenna cable and the static/popping/fade-out resumed. I have narrowed it down to either the antenna connector coming out of the back of the stereo or an internal circuit. Either way, it does not look like a do-it-yourself fix.

Jensen MP5720 radio/faceplate connector is broken or missing spring

I was always afraid this might happen to me so I never removed the faceplate from the radio. This strategy worked fine for two years until two weeks ago. I didn't lock my car because of the freezing rain and somebody stole my faceplate and remote. Anyway I ordered a replacement radio from Amazon last week so I don't have rewire a new one. The replacement cost me $100. I don't really need the rest of the radio so make an offer, my email is cs1713@sbcglobal.net
Regards, Chas

Mcd5110 marine radio cd player

Gary, Sounds like channel 1 burnt out then channel 2 on the internal amp of the radio. If you are looking for another Jensen as a replacement they are decent for a lower priced radio. However if you are not operating your boat on salt water you could use a regular car unit. I replaced the radio in our boat with an generic import and I couldn't be happier. I bought something similar to this model here http://www.mp3playerstore.com/stuff_you_need/dvd/DVD-392.htm not bad for just over 100 bux add 150 for a LCD and watch TV and dvd's in the boat too! although if your lake house is like mine there are only 2 channels to watch :( Hack

I dont know if this will work for the mp, but for my jensen 2010x ,while it is on, you press on the (disp) button for 5 seconds untill the clock starts flashing, then on the FF to set minutes and the rewind button to set hours. I literally spent 2 hours playing with it till i figured this out!!!
