First of all, you should stop saving any new files to you canon camera (or SD card) or taking new pictures with you camera.

Then find some photo recovery software from this site Best Computer Software, which is of high quality and easy-to-use.

Digital Photo Recovery for Camera

Here are the steps:
Step 1: Download and install the Digital Photo Recovery Software Asoftech Photo Recovery.
Step 2: Connect your camera (or SD card, memory card etc) to you PC.
Step 3: Scan the source drive where your lost pictures located.
Step 4: Recover the lost pictures and save them to another drive instead of the source drive.

You may try some photo recovery software to rescue the files on your digital camera. here are some for your options.

Photo Recovery (for Windows)
Photo Recovery for Mac

Be careful: Before your pictures are recovered, do not attempt to save more files to the card in case the original files(your pictures) are overwritten.

Don't worry! There are ways for you to retrieve your deleted photos back from a cell phone as long as these photos are not overwritten by anything new on it.
What you should do is really simple:
Firstly, stop using this camera or inner memory card immediately in case that any new file would overwrite your original photos and make them gone permanently. So, you should take care!
Secondly, plunge this camera to your computer and prepare to retrieve all your deleted pictures.
Thirdly, apply a deleted photo recovery freeware to retrieve all your deleted photos back successfully:
http://blog4mark.blogspot.com/2012/12/photo-recovery-after-delete.html
I believe this data recovery freeware can work perfectly on your camera memory card just in the same way as it completely retrieves all the deleted data of my friend off from his phone memory card. Just give it a shot!
Fourthly, save and back up all the restored photos on a different memory card or drive in case of data recovery failure.
Note: Never forget to back up everything important at least on two memory cards or locations in the future.
Good luck!

First take the memory card out of the camera. Pictures that have been deleted are probably still there, but will be overwritten if you take any more pictures on top of them.

Your camera is probably not able to undelete pictures, but there are programs for doing this on a computer. You can put the memory card into a card reader attached to a computer, and use an undelete program to recover the deleted files. Undelete programs are available for free download from the internet, try at www.download.com.

If the pictures are very important to you, you might want to seek help from an experienced person.

Internal memory

Information is not clear; however, if you mean to clear contents (photos, movies) from the internal memory, try the following.
1. Switch off, remove the SD card, re-start the camera.
2. Switch to playback mode; there you will find the photos/ videos stored in the internal memory. Manipulation of those media is normal.

How to unlock a photo in camara

The protect function allows a user to protect a picture from accidental deletion. To unprotect a picture on your camera, scroll to the protected picture that you want to delete, then press the Menu button (the button to the right of the Play button.) Scroll down the menu and you should come to an option that allows you to Protect/Unprotect the picture. Since your picture is currently protected, deselect that option. You should then be able to delete the picture normally.

Alternatively, you could also format the memory card, however this deletes ALL photos and data you have on the memory card. If you are trying to completely clear the memory, this is the best way. After turning on your camera, simply press the Menu button, scroll to Setup, then scroll down to Format. Select Format, it will ask you if you want to format the memory card, or the camera's built-in memory. Format whichever one you want to clear, if you are using a memory card then your pictures are stored on the memory card. It will take a few seconds to format.

Hope this helps.

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS TO COMPUTER
If your photos are stored on the memory card, then removethe memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader.Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of yourworking computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device oran external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card andcopy the photos to your computer.Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. Youcan copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off yourmemory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing anyprograms.

I just bought a sanyo camera vpc-t1495 and took 2 pictures and now its saying memory is ful. what do i do to correct this.

Good day,

The camera has a small internal memory that you can use to store photos on. The internal memory is normally not enough to take a lot of photos. You are able to delete the current photos by erasing the memory or deleting the photos one by one.

The solution is to purchase a memory card. I would recommend a 4 Gb SD Card.

With the extra space the memory card provides it will take a while before you run out of memory. When the card is starting to get full download all the images to your computer and erase the SD Card.

Hope this answers your question!

Regards

Took photos and the memory card was loose and did not retain them

You can transfer the photos from your camera memory to a folder on your desktop, then you go to my computer, click on the camera icon (removeable drive) then choose the dcim folder and drag the files that you copied to your desktop onto the memory card

Is there any free software I can download to retrieve photos on the sanyo VPC 5500 no memory card"

Sadly not, when you format the card or memory, it wipes it clean off the system. Unlike Hard Drives, there is no magnetic trace from which you could reconstruct the data. Sorry it's not good news :(
