It's called delayed acc. power. It should shut off as soon as you open the door. Unless the red stereo wire is hooked up to constant power. You may need to check with a test light.

I require the wiring diagram and colour code for a Pioneer DEH2750 MP to enable me to install one

I recommend you purchase a wiring harness. All aftermarket radios have standard color coding. It's the vehicle wires that will not match. So, the wiring harness will allow you to hook the radio to it, and then plug into the harness of the vehicle, eliminating the need to check the wires. If your vehicle does not have the vehicle side of the harness, visit the websites of scosche or PAC and see if it is available. Hope this helps.

I have a avh-4900dvd that I was trying to install in my 04 silverado and it will not power up at all I know the fuse is good in the vehicle because the factory radio works fine and I only connected the Red...

there should be a yellow wire that is used for 12 volt power. the red is usually just switched power. I hope you are using a harness from metra or scosche for this install as cutting into a factory harness is not a good idea

I have a 2007 chevy silverado classic an i dont

Buy the aftermarket harness for it. Within the harness there should be a wire that says power ant or remote. Splice a wire to that and run it back to your remote turn on.

Car stereo not recieving full power

you may want to check and see if you are getting power to both the red and yellow wires. it almost sounds like you may not be getting power to the red wire.

I am trying to wire a sony xplod deck to my 2001 altima and need to know which wires connect to each other and steps of doing that.

Hello charlieramir,

The wiring color code for the 2001 Altima can be found here. Your Sony deck should have come with a wiring harness and an installation sheet (or a page in the user manual) that shows the color and function of each wire. You simply match up the functions of each wire on the harness with the appropriate wire on your vehicle.

A simpler and more professional installation is achieved by using a vehicle-specific wiring harness that plug into your Altima's wiring. Such a wiring harness allows you to make all of the connections while seated at the dining room table or other well-lighted location instead of the limited space area behind the dash. The Scosche NN03B/NN03 seems to be the correct harness for your Altima.

Hope this helps.

Installing an aftermarket head unit into a 1994 Ford Bronco

are you using and after market harness to go from your bronco to the harness to the new radio. if so make sure all the colors are matched up (e.i. purple to purple, purple/black to purple/black). did the speakers work before the aftermarket unit. Also check the wiring at the oem speakers

Everything but sound works

There is a blue and white wire from the head unit that needs to be connected to the blue wire from your car harness. This powers up a separate amplifier that provides sound to the speakers crossovers. Without doing this you will not get any sound.
