After being on for a an hour or sometimes less the screen suddenly goes completely blue and a little green light starts blinking and then it turns off after a minute.
I turn it back on right after and it works again for an hour or less again. I cleaned the filter, same problem.
Thinking about replacing the bulb but I figured it wasnt burnt out if it turns back on.
This set has 3 temperture sensors. If the set gets too hot it will shut down.
first clean the cooling fan as it may be full of dust.
if this is not the cure the one of the sensors is likely bad.

Your tv would turn on if you replace the only two 3300µf@16v capacitors on the power board . You wil notice they are bad by the way they bulge up at the top and may be leaking electrolyte a little from the tops . But the rolling lines would still remain but much less noticable. Then other symptoms will eventually appear. Truth is many many many many other capacitors need to be replaced inside the electrical chassis. Your TV would need to go to a repair shop that is expierienced in that repair because it is so extensive.
I had the same problem and I found that it was 2 caps on the power
supply board. I had both caps replaced and it worked perfect. While it
is apart see if any other caps are bad( if they are puffed up in the
center they are bad).
